@qayyuum My sensor refuses to start if I previously used HR Belt and when switch to wrist HR measurements. This happens when I starting a new activity (just before an activity, the wrist HR sensor works fine). What helps me in this case is to stop24/7 wrist HR tracking and then to start it again in settings. So far it did not happen, that suddenly the wrist sensor stopped working while an activity…

@James-Eastwood I have the same problem. SyncMyTrack works on Android (it costs pennies). You can import any workout between Garmin->Suunto, Suunto->Garmin - whatever you want. I use intervals.icu to analyze data on a large monitor because it’s more convenient than a smartphone app.

As a tech-Guy a bit, that loves new technology etc. Own my Vertical 2 years. I had one day Race S, and had tested 5 days in home Race (titanium normal one, not ,S") 1 month ago . I cant get used to have amoled on hand. While training AMOLED wins easily. You running or something, screen goes bright and You can see all the things, distance, time etc. in just one sec its great! In Vertical its a bit darker sometimes when You moving, i needed to stop and check or just take watch close to my eyes. In every-day use when You want to check watchface, MIP wins, You see all the info. In AMOLED You see only time OR You unlock watch and see watchface but its so bright. Sometimes You just move hand up/down and screen becomes flashlight. Damn… for me perfect combination would be MIP screen that turn into AMOLED when browsing menu/training etc. I think I’ll keep Vertical until Vertical v2 or Race v2. I also love Vertical design more than elegant Race/Race S (Ocean seems great too!!!). There are some improvements over Vertical. Battery is insane in Vertical, same as how durable is. 0 scratches on Sapphire screen, and just some few scratches on titanium seen in good angle with light. Iam so happy how strong this watch is compared to how many times i hit it in metal parts, door frame, etc. I really hit this watch so many times.

@Adrian.S said in Suunto Race S and Suunto HRM belt not working anymore: However, with Suunto, you can be sure that the belt can store up to 60 minutes of your heart rate without a watch Only 60 minutes? Are you sure? I have recently cycled a few 90 minute routes with my Suunto smart sensor while the watch was placed on the handlebar. It recorded the full exercise HR just fine. I’ve also done some 60+ mins swims and I am pretty sure the sensor can’t broadcast the activity HR to the watch until you get out of the pool. Radiowaves don’t like water.

@deliu-b definitely, the level of the vibration should be customizable in every suunto watch, I use Vertical and alerts, notifications should more power by vibrations and by bips sound

@brechtvb yeah, but the Forerunner has 5 buttons As I said, short press the lower button and you are where you can set DND and alarm clocks. I guess this will ease you struggle to find things…

@cosme.costa i guess disabling HR and sleep tracking would result in powersaving, but perhaps that is not the way one wants to do it. Unsure if wake on wrist-lift is disabled in the DND time frame.

@sntors Before creating custom modes its worth mentioning that the sports you use more often get sorted automatically with the latest one being first in the list so say you use 4 sports theses 4 will be the first to show in the list. Only the first time you need to scroll longer till you find what you need.

@Android-Lolipop said in Firmware missing function-HR alerts/map data/custom batery modes: During navigation, having the map show how many kilometers I still have to go is pretty much useless. It would be much better if I could turn that off or, ideally, replace it with something more useful like heart rate, speed, or pace. AFAIK it is not possible to display HR on map but you can create custom sport mode with multiple screens. These screens are customizable, you can add heart rate, average HR, pace, speed, average speed and a lot of other metrics. Yes, you will need to switch between map and screens but it is just one button click.

@FCDsh Titanium is not necessarily a sturdier material over Stainless Steel (unless it’s high grade titanium mixed with, well steel) - in fact Stainless Steel is in most cases studier on the hardness scale, so ‘harder’ to scratch. I think the reason why it looks very scratched is because of the black paint coming off. In the case of the Ti version, the actual metal is brushed so there won’t be much of a colour change and therefore less noticeable.

@far-blue very same on Android. Kill the app and restart fixes missing audio. it’s a cross platform bug!
