@thanasis correct. This is fixed. Very easy to reproduce with the triathlon mode

On my S9P I can only hear the tone if I hold the watch against my ear, and if I enable button tones the mechanical click of the button is significantly louder than the tone. I can feel the vibration when not exercising, but when exercising it tends to get lost in everything else that’s happening.

And rocks can also contain some magnetite or ferrite that is not a friend of compass calibration

@Panagiotis-Kritikakos The watch will ask to change battery modes when the battery is low and provide you with estimated battery times for each mode. It does this automatically to help save the activity. In addition, if battery is very low the watch will cease GPS recording but continue recording time and I believe altitude changes so you still have a record of the event even if GPS track is lost.

@seanvk My Stryd distance is always short and I have not tested whether auto Calibration fixes this.

Bug is acknowledged in production firmware. I heard from some tester that they cannot reproduce it with test firmware, so it may be already fixed in the upcoming update. Not sure about it, but I’ve reported the issue.

@jacopastorius raise to wake is for the backlight, not the screen. I think your watch is doing fine

It’s not necessary to open a new thread for the existing one. If you want to add info to the discussion, please keep using the original one (as you also did) I’m closing this one to avoid duplicates

@wotus logs help Suunto developers to dig into data trying to find the root cause and eliminate potential bugs… it doesn’t help you directly. soon after sending logs you need to let Suunto close people know the time when you’ve sent the logs and from what mail address (connected account). I’ve also had very strange things happening with my watch. Fortunately not repeatedly. let’s hope your observation was a one time issue

@uranfl I think I found the cause of the problem. While the activity is paused, the watch still measures burned calories, but does not add them to the total. As the activity continues, the algorithm adds up the calories burned while pausing the activity shortly after pressing the resume button. This rapid jump in calories burned then confuses the Burner algorithm, which then malfunctions for a while.

@vietpq Others can comment on this as something may have changed but, my understanding was trail run calculates 3D and running does not. I think hiking was not calculating 3D but believe that has been changed as well. No matter, as I stated before I have 4 months of running mountains with Garmin Epix2 on one arm and a Suunto 9Peak on the other. You cannot tell the difference between them easily nor is there any statistical difference in the distance or elevation data.

I had a really bad gps experience today also . I did Snap to route to align it during the expertise but it was also terrible and the distance and the metrics are all over the place . Actually a 5km shows (snapped to route ) as 3,8km . During the run the device the auto pause was enabled even though I had a 5:30/km pace . The average he pace shows 6.05m/km and the NGP as 7:23…
