Questions about backlight and raise to wake

hi all, i think my watch has a bug about backlight. i have these settings:
backlight (from shortcuts): OFF
settings-general-backlight: brightness LOW, standby OFF, raise to wake ON.

while wearing the watch and not and not using i, the backlight dims but the screen does not turn completely black.
Instead, if i put the watch on the table and wait something like 2 minutes, the screen turns off becoming completely black.

Also i cannot completely understand what raise to wake means. If im not wrong, twisting the wrist put the brightness at the level i set (low, medium or high). is it right?

raise to wake is for the backlight, not the screen. I think your watch is doing fine
