Questions about backlight and raise to wake

hi all, i think my watch has a bug about backlight. i have these settings:
backlight (from shortcuts): OFF
settings-general-backlight: brightness LOW, standby OFF, raise to wake ON.while wearing the watch and not and not using i, the backlight dims but the screen does not turn completely black.
Instead, if i put the watch on the table and wait something like 2 minutes, the screen turns off becoming completely black.Also i cannot completely understand what raise to wake means. If im not wrong, twisting the wrist put the brightness at the level i set (low, medium or high). is it right?

raise to wake is for the backlight, not the screen. I think your watch is doing fine
