@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I had contact with the customer support and they said the calorie bug can not be fixed. But all data are surly on a server in a database and it should not be a problem to manipulate the exorbitant high calorie value…?

@andreaskauth your description looks a lot like the issue I have had with the snowboarding profile. (Mostly after a firmware update) Selecting the corrupted profile result in the “Oops…” error in SA and a watch reboot if you try to select it in the watch. I could always fix it by deleting and recreating the profile as @freeheeler suggested before. No hard reset was necessary.
  • Firmware update always failed (update, hard reset or manual update)

@pierre-carneau How good was it is an excellent gauge of RPE if you use it correctly. Some coaches believe RPE is a better gauge of effort than HR. So, I disagree it is “childish”.

@dmytro not recently, the last one was in January (?) they don’t happen that often, that’s why it is important not to miss it

@MarkusHH It was most likely caused by neither. The updates “reveal” underline hardware problems. This of course calls into question why there was a hardware problem in the first place, but it’s just to clarify. But do get in touch with support via chat. They should be able to offer a decent enough discount on a newer product/model from the suunto.com webshop.

@dulko79 @Brad_Olwin I have to be honest and fair. it is indeed brighter, crisper, bigger fonts… it’s better readable even with rain drops remaining on the glass

Well, the watch started charging again with a new cable, so I thought I had it resolved as a cable fault. But now the watch is charging again with the old cable too (and I must have plugged and unplugged that ober 20 times before I ordered the new cable)! I don’t think I’ll ever find out what the real problem was (temporary hardware fault or temporary software fault) but for the time being it is working again.

@pilleus said in Minimal charging cable / adapter: @fv4500 said in Minimal charging cable / adapter: a “single piece” charger As long as there is no USB C plug, it is difficult, because in the picture the two contacts on every laptop would point downwards and on many chargers they would be vertical. The magnets are rather weak, so the watch has to lie on top. Yes! I didn’t realized that, you have a fantastic eye! . Hope this terrible idea helps a bit @outdoorrama to find something useful for their hikes.

Soft reset seems to have fixed the issue somewhat. Clearly a memory management issue, which seems to be a recurring issue with these watches. A bit surprising that there is no warning mechanism for this sort of thing.

@JohnC120 you don’t need to switch modes to see what you want, you only need to rotate between screens. My set up is. First Screen basically distance Second Screen Distance to next waypoint Third screen distance to end Then forth screen is breadcrumb (no map, but easy to follow) then altitude profile You can then move between the screens. This is very simplified I have other data like altitude ETA ect which you can program what is important to you. And you can choose how many fields you have in each screen except the breadcrumb and altitude profile.
