@pavel-samokha I’ve noticed the same issue with older activities not displaying animations properly. It seems like only workouts synced directly from the watch to SA are working. Would be great if there was a way to support imported or older activities as well! Regarding the speed discrepancy, that’s an interesting find. The difference between the max speed shown in SA and the white flag animation does make it seem like a conversion issue. If it’s pulling from different data points (peak vs. recorded max), maybe there’s a way to standardize how it’s displayed? Also, I’d really appreciate having an option to manually switch between metric and imperial. Since it’s based on locale right now, it can be a bit inconvenient for those of us using different systems across devices. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed in a future update!

With reference to what you suggest about manual execution of the synch, make sense but still it depends on the Suunto App/Movecount code. I think that data that are pushed to Strava is not coming from the excercise header but from laps. If so, then key is to make possible edition of laps.

@djibarian That is good, I agree, it would be useful to have a selectable adjustment for distance off track. I think there are some changes coming to Navigation, let’s see what happens.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos You have the files and screenshotes, let’s see if this happen to more people. For me the right distance is the one from the watch, than is the same in https://quantified-self.io/home, so I don´t get why Suunto app is reporting another distance, and specially the same than the garmin, when the track of the garmin is obviously worst… The important thing is than the watch report the right distance because is the one you use in open waters…

@silentvoyager said in Suunto 9 baro and climbed meters + suunto app: @ollemelin said in Suunto 9 baro and climbed meters + suunto app: I know, but my question was really why the suunto app (and strava) does not autocorrect when they make use of the terrain model? Map auto-correction may be very inaccurate because it depends on accurate coordinates, which is often challenging on mountainous terrain. Consider the following example. You traverse across a steep mountain slope on a narrow trail. Half of sky is obstructed by the mountain, so the number of GPS satellites is limited and positional accuracy isn’t great. As a result of that the GPS track can wobble 10-15 meters either way across the slope. Now, those inaccurate coordinates are fed into the elevation model, and each movement to either side may translate into a large elevation jump or drop that wasn’t actually there. That may add to a lot of extra elevation gain. The model is also very inaccurate when crossing bridges or going through tonnels. Every time you cross a bridge the elevation model will have you going to the bottom and then go up again to your previous level. Yes, thats correct. But on longer climbs in the mountains its not a problem. The device is spot on. My issue is with flow-tracks with small hills. I actually take a lot of meters on that kind of trails. As I live in sweden the data for terrainmodels are also very good.

@Jaanus77 said in Spartan Trainer frozen: The display showes frozen image of the display at the moment it froze. I think theres still some 75% battery left, so as its not used it will take long time for it to empty. I think the problem might be that Movescount and new Suunto app both tried to connect with the watch and that crashed something. in this case, even if normally it shouldn’t happen anymore with latest watch FW (but as your watch is new, does it have this last FW ? ), maybe could you force close both app in your phone (android or iOS ? ) and restart upper button thing. If not, afraid that you will have to wait the watch battery to be empty or maybe can it wake up alone before.

As far as I got it there is quite some activity, but (and that is very good I think) Dimi has done a huge effort and sorted more or less ALL posts and moved quite a number to ‘resolved’. Nevertheless, it is rather impressive to see, what has been done when more or less everybody (probably me too 🥴) sometimes feels or even says that more or less nothing important has been achieved (not that there is not much left to be done … )

@Mff73 so good that spartan ultra has the same support as Suunto 9. My son has spartan ultra, so no own experience with it. Then I hope that Ambit 3 will get it soon too But it would be nice to know fore how long I have to wait.

@bradylee610 Believe me, is not the most smarter choice… My previous Ambit 3 Peak was the best watch that I had, I even like it better than my current Suunto 9 Baro, I don´t know if is because I used this more time… I used these, and also Garmin Fenix, Samsung Frontier and a friend lent me a Nixon Mission, between all, I prefer Suunto for trainer, outdoor activities and as adventure watch. With Suunto now maybe is a bit confuse for some users what app to use, really, sometimes also I be a bit angry because I can´t use only the SA to do all things, but I fight with apps, NOT WITH THE WATCH. My experience with Fenix is REALLY BAD, the worst. Random freeze of the watch, not the app, the Garmin app was beautiful, but the watch it froze several times in the middle of an activity at midair (flying). There no option to check at forums, reinstall, reset or anything at this moment. Later was fixed with a fw update but also later other users reports similar behaviors after this. This NEVER happened me with a Suunto watch. And maybe this created my confidence with the brand and watches. Apps, web and desktop software is the second step for me, I really like have confidence on my watch when I do an activity, with the confidence that the watch not suddenly will not turn off… Now I use the MC Web + MC app + SA, more than anything because I like some manual settings for the sport modes, edit my POIs, etc and I hope that very soon SA can do it everything into one unique app that sounds as the more logic.
