@Ger43 Yes both the Race 1 and Race 2 are great devices. I prefer the aesthetics of the 1 but find the 2 lighter and smaller. The 2 is bit faster and feels snappier but the biggest difference in the two watches is the OHR. The Race 1 has okish HR when doing some sports but not good when mountain biking or running (at least for me and the majority or reviewers. of course I always use belt with serious training.) The HR on the 2 is on pair with apples and gamins so no complains at all. Again I am caucasian, no tattoos, etc so it might be different for others. nevertheless whatever race you get you’ll love it. If you prefer HR accuracy get the 2. If you want less ‘restrictive’ distance measurement get the 1. As always do not forget to enjoy the sports and life.

@segi_pn said in Battery drain: Do you use an HR belt? Yes, two different external HR sensors connected to the watch - Suunto HR sensor and Coros Armband HR sensor. And yes, when I had a similar issue in the past it was likely caused by the external HR sensor. But what is interesting and different in this case is that the rapid discharge has happened after the watch battery got fully discharged and the watch turned off, then I charged the batter and didn’t have any activities.

@Egika Is there a table/list that lists the various user requests? Because it must be difficult and redundant for the development teams to read all these discussion threads.

@Doron-G I have a few of these but they are gone from Suunto store. I would try to check Suunto outlets/dealers.

@sebchastang said in Kailash: @HereInThePacNWusaBCT I can turn my Traverse off by entering “service menu” > “ACTION” > “Power Off”. Maybe it is a similar operating mode with Kailash. Please check the service manual (page 9) https://forum.suunto.com/assets/uploads/files/1620657027880-suunto-service-manual.pdf Kailash: Press Up and Down down at the same time (10sec) to go into service mode and check available options under “ACTION” menu. maybe you will find “Power Off” Hi, all ok ? Would it be convenient for you to find another Service Manual, for a S9 Peak pro ? Thanks in advance.

For those with similar problems, there are some general posts related to the Vertical 2 model which discuss potential solutions. I’ll will update if they do work. Vertical 2 posts

@Elipsus cannot speak for the service department, but if it just shut down from out of nowhere and the sensor stopped working that should be repairable.

@FredJ I see your point. And this is related to the fact that TSS is based primarily in duration and aerobic/cardio stress nor in muscular stress.

@JeffBB I noticed that while updating and or transferring offline maps it needs to be connected to the charger… Edit: Oh didnt see you sent it away and it got resolved.

Hi guys! I’m new here, made this forum just for this problem: Since the firmware update as you guys report 2.50.28 on my Race S I have big battery drain about 1% an hour even in airplane mode and the dumbest digital watch face. From some Chat GPT help I uninstalled offline maps, made a soft reset, factory reset, now I’m leaving it in airplane mode overnight to see. But it’s doesn’t look good, it already dropped from 74% at 18:45 to 71% 21:45.
