@Stefan-T. I was experiencing this after I first got the watch. I did a soft reset. In subsequent uses, 10% of daily usage Exercise, navigation off. Wake from wrist on AOD off. Screen brightness medium. Notifications on (I get a lot of notifications during the day) 24/7 wrist heart rate monitoring on I sync 3 times a day. I update the altimeter from GPS twice a day (just a habit ) Blood oxygen on. Alarm on every morning at 7 AM. Sleep tracking on. Sunrise and sunset alarms on. Media controls on when I listen to music through headphones. Sometimes I use the flashlight (for about 10 seconds. For advertising ) Things that come to mind. (English is not my first language. I use Google Translate sometimes, so apologies for any translation mistakes.)

Success. The Suunto Run watch AUTO LAP settings are found in the App, not in the watch.

after everything you already tested, this really does sound more like a firmware issue on the Suunto Race S after 2.39.20 than a router/network problem. The interesting part is your router logs showing absolutely no connection attempt from the watch. That usually means the WiFi module itself is not initializing correctly after the update, not just failing authentication. I d still try one last simple test: connect it to a very basic 2.4 GHz network without mesh/repeator features, WPA3, band steering, or hidden SSID. Some devices become weirdly picky after updates. But since you already tested multiple routers and hotspots, I honestly doubt your network is the real issue here. Feels like the update broke WiFi handling for some units, especially since the problem started right after the firmware upgrade and before the maps could finish downloading.

@Łukasz-Szmigiel I loaded it up and was able to start an activity. However when I hit the lap button Constantin disappeared the first time I tried. On the second attempt I was able to keep it on the screen. Looks like it might be fixed.

@claudio_101 The inaccuracy and inconsistency of the built-in heart rate sensor in the Race has been discussed here before. Suunto must be aware of this since they added a second sensor to the Race S, and people who reviewed both the original Race and the Race S said the S performs significantly better. Is that worth buying another watch? Not for me - even though I’m disappointed with the Race built-in heart rate sensor, I like the watch in every other way and consider it worth keeping. If I want accurate heart rate I wear a chest strap. But that’s a personal decision.

It’s been a while since the last public release… and finally apple approved the v1.0.17 (google is still reviewing as usual) This is probably one of the biggest updates so far. So, most of you probably already tried that new features in testFlight, btw I want to highlight some of them (smth like release notes): Updated home screen The main page is now card-based, and cards can be rearranged however you like. Better UI performance overall Previously there were noticeable frame drops while moving around the map. Now it much smoother. Groups are now integrated directly into the home screen You can access group invite links right from the main page. Group members are now visible on the map in real time. Added PTT (Push-To-Talk) inside groups (Experimental feature) Basically a walkie-talkie mode between members of an active group. Added automation providers: n8n, Zapier and Make (you know, if you know) Currently available as community nodes or private integrations. They can work with checkpoints, session events, and even Suunto workouts. I’ll probably make a separate detailed post about this later. probably. Sensor Forwarding support (Experimental feature) The app can now be used not only for geo tracking, but also as a sensor forwarding bridge. You can connect sensors to your watch and forward the data through the app into platforms like Zwift or MyWhoosh or froward somewhere else, while still keeping your workout recorded in Suunto ecosystem. Cycling and running profiles are currently supported. Completely rewritten BTLE stack (the conflict with the Suunto App is still not solved because of… you know) So, next releas I probably going to finally focus on localization support as a most requested ‘feature’ in support. Also want to highlight some updates made to the web version: Support for 3D characters on the map You can now choose different character styles in your profile. Drone-like follow mode It’s mimic to drone style tracking camera, a bit… um… “cinematic” from my perspective. Your partner or followers can now see their own position relative to you directly on the map, including live distance and ruller between you. That’s probably it for now. Thanx you all for testing, feedback, and patience.

I also have the same issue. 9pp running 2.50.28 and many times over the last year or more wrist heart rate stops. Green leds not flashing. Turn off turn on to fix but you only realise it’s stopped when you synch in the morning. Night sleep, recovery all inaccurate. I have no good reason to buy Suunto again ️

It’s been happening to me for 2 days now. The first time I didn’t pay much attention to it, but yesterday’s was more “fun.” In the middle of an interval workout, the watch decided to restart itself, ending the activity. When I noticed, I started the same activity again with the same interval workout, and to my surprise it restarted itself two more times. In addition to the activity, I was also using a COROS HRM. I’m trying to send the logs, but the app freezes and won’t even let me send them… a complete disaster.

@Kajkom Yes, it matches. But that doesn’t seem like it’s connected to the issue. The watch counts correctly all the way up until you save/finish the workout, at which point it discounts it 3.75%.

Latest Komoot answer. Thanks again for taking the time to test the workaround and share such detailed feedback throughout this investigation. It’s helpful to know that importing the GPX as an Activity first and then copying it to Saved Routes improved the route ending behavior, even though the small offset and the turn-by-turn and climb notification issues are still present on your Suunto Vertical 2. After reviewing all the information you provided, including the original GPX behavior across different platforms, it’s clear that komoot is interpreting this specific route differently during processing. Your detailed comparisons have been especially valuable in narrowing this down. At the moment, komoot still needs to process imported GPX tracks through its routing system, so there isn’t yet a setting that completely preserves the original track geometry in all edge cases. We're constantly developing and working on improving komoot, and rest assured, we're actively listening to the community to incorporate your ideas into our work whenever possible. Since komoot is used for various sports and purposes, we receive a wide range of requests. We collect, categorize, and evaluate all input to understand what will help the most users. I've shared your insights internally for review. You can stay up to date with the latest features and improvements on our What's New and Product Updates pages. Please note that we release weekly updates for the komoot app and website. Ensure your app is updated to take advantage of these improvements. Thanks again for your patience, persistence, and the high level of detail you shared during testing. Have a lovely day, That basically means, end of support using the words an user wants to hear. Komoot’s support admits the issues but just that. Nothing further. This seems a dead-end in any case.
