@Brainicus said: I know this question has been asked several times before, but seeing a delay with releasing a strikingly similar Nautic S and the fact GF99/SurfGF are supported on a larger Nautic cousin, the question bears repeating… Is there a chance we will see these two features on Ocean? Perhaps, as a part of the upcoming firmware upgrade as I’d expect Ocean and Nautic S share a lot of under the surface bits? (And yes, I’m aware the published Nautic S manual doesn’t include these features, but I’m still hoping for an omission in the manual rather than the removed functionality v Nautic) Up this subject! @enneo the Chinese suunto account (suunto.cn) are not in the same database as the rest of the world (because china impose that chinese citizen data should be stored exclusivly in China), so your auth credentials won’t work

@freeheeler said: @Jose-Luis-Merino-Parra it is under improvement and further development. I am giving frequent feedback and also wish we can soon benefit from it Where do you send feedback please, is there a specific thread or something in the app? Im currently trying a 10 week trail plan but the sessions don’t seem to correlate to my age and performance, which I thought the AI would take in to account setting it up based on previous training. For example my Z2 pace is about 8m/km (OK I’m old and slow but Suunto knows this) but just as an example one session this week was an easy Z2 run of 10k in 1 hour - for me that’s definitely not Z2! I realise it’s still under development but I’d like to feed that back to the right place. Also does anyone know if the plan adapts or updates itself based on performance during the sessions?

An app like this would be super useful for planning longer ultramarathons on trails where the terrain is always variable. I did a similar plan many times where I try to come up with a target time for each aid station on the race course and then during the race see how I perform against that - whether I am ahead or behind the plan. The main problem is that as long as segments are based on distances, they aren’t going to be accurate and often deviate towards the end of the race. Perhaps for officially measured road races distances are accurate, but for trail races they are usually not. Towards the end of a race, distance that you have on your watch can easy be up to 5% off from the official distance, depending how accurately the official race distance was measured. Often, tace officials just use distance from CalTopo or other online mapping tool, and that is often way too short. It would be super nice if segments were defined by waypoints on the navigation route and if Suunto supported an extension of navigation route that allows including timestamps. That would allow building on the estimated pacing plan right into the navigation route. Garmin does actually have that and the Pace Pro feature utilizes that, and some 3rd part tools like Ultrapacer can generate a plan that can be loaded on a Garmin watch. I think a feature like this should be built-in, or at least have some built-in support - like an ability to load a timed GPX (GPX with relative timestamps) and tell you how much you are ahead of behind when following the route. Then more advanced apps could be built on top of that.

Hi, yes it is very accurate, the problem I’m having is that I do swim in a 20mts pool and I want to be notify before or about to complete every 100 mts. lap, the watch keeps beeping or notifying after I complete the 100 mts. so regularly I end swimming other 10-20 mts. more. Do you know how can I fix this or if there is a problem with my race 2?

Would be interesting if the Nautic S is a valid competitor too. As fa as I know it misses the Big Display, Dual View (Basic Data plus e.g. Compass) and the battery lifetime which are the big pluses of the nautic. For 5 tankpods/gases and Helium I am not sure So not in the same ballpark, right?

I have been testing with 3 different LED flashlight on / near / close / up and down to the POD and the Nautic and the computer held its connection state as expected. So I do not expect that the RFI is causing the signal to become in-stable. Maybe a combination with POD pressure buildup in combination with RFI? I hope the Suunto dev teams can find the issue reading my POD and Nautic logs.
