@fondueaufromage Yes, they are. The watch also comes with a 2-year warranty. Thanks for being willing to share your experience and information with me.

@jamie-bg said in Suunto 7: I really don’t think you can go wrong these days no matter which fitness platform you use Wow, impressive review, thanks for that! I wrote a long post about my own odyssey through the Smartwatch jungle but I found, that I got lost in all the features and I could not find the ideal watch. For me Suunto has some „sophisticated simplicity“ which makes me feel „home“. It does want I need and I can trust the data (besides Resources atm ). The only other brand I really trust like that and that has the same “magic” for me is Polar and I still have my trusted Vantage M which I use from time to time. My son owns and is a great fan of Apple Watches and I can use one whenever I like. The battery is just too weak for me using it as a sportswatch, but the sensors are really great and HR and other data from it is impressively correct and trustworthy.

It would be useful to start an activity at the end of a countdown.

@Brad_Olwin I always run 2-3 days after races. Only for all-out Marathons, I take two weeks off. My HR is not really influenced by these races. It is not more than the usual ±4 bpms during easy runs at aerobic LT. Of course my legs are tired and the muscular effort feels way higher for the pace but HR is the same for the speed that I run. I would be then not able to run for long time at my LT but due to fatigue. HR is then still in the expected corridor for that pace. Only experienced strong deviations of LT HR at return to sport after stronger infections like COVID and always the first 3 days of winter training camp on the canarien islands. There my body is always completely overwhelmed by the sudden 25°C temperature difference. SZ though told me so many times, I would be way above or below my threshold even though RPE, HR, and pace was exactly as expected. During the training camp SZ always told me that my Real-Time effort should be way higher. No way that I could ever run under that sudden higher temps at that HR which was close to my 1k all-out HR. Real-Time effort does not work at all for me, while average reported thresholds over more than hundred activities come close.

I’m experiencing severe battery drain. It’s happening only if I wear the watch. If the watch is static, there is no drain. The HR is turned off at all times.

Maybe, they could fix the firmware just to get live tracking app functional again.

@Mff73 well unless I’m doing something wrong, with WP I never get the screen with section and %steep. the picture I have taken were one tw same routes, on with WP (top), this other without (bottom). I can’t get the bottom screen when there are WP on the route, whatever the zoom level on profile. I’ll PM you

@kriskus not sure why you need it - but it’s in Settings - General. The watch will restart itself once you exit it.

I’ve had my V2 since mid October and so far not a single crash. I always run 3 S+ non-third party apps. No other issues either.

When i went to sleep, everything was fine. When i woke up, and wanted to put my Race S on my wrist (i don’t sleep with my watch), I needed to select the language, let the watch know my weight and length and needed to make a new connection with the Suunto app. Could still see my old Spartan in the app. I do not let Android automatically update my apps. Pixel 7, Android 16 Suunto app: 5.3.7 (5003007) Current software watch: 2.44.46
