So far i have done 17 dives ( 2 tanks) with Nautic since ive charged to 100% once… Estimate time 15 or 16 hours underwater and now the battery has reach 50% Great battery, enough for 7 days liveaboard without need to recharge Ps: without transmitter

@Art-C I’m not sure for the full 100% but it seems Suunto is wotking on an update that makes the screen views more flexible. It was written in the forum somewhere but Suunto has never been confirmed. So let us hope by putting post to the forum thry pickup and do what the Nautic users want. Indeed the screen is awesome, just like the compass and Battery usage !!!

@hhouter I had the same issue this morning on my Ocean. Freaked me out a bit. I was 17.5m down, shortly after starting the dive. Interestingly looking at my gas consumption graph in the app, it spiked through the roof momentarily when the Mandatory Gas Time alarm fired. Definitely a bug

@Klaas Can you upload the dives log file (json) to Claude AI and ask Claude the simple question why the algorithm deviation occurred? Can you let us know the response?

I agree with the points above, the app is absolutely useless at this point. There should be a dedicated app for Suunto diving products.

@Ldive It’s a matter of respect for those who bought a Nautic and placed their trust in Suunto. Unfortunately, I shouldn’t have

@hhouter I also lean towards Ocean/Nautic firmware optimizations (pod/watch position is also important). Received back POD from service, still having hard time connecting before dive (previous firmware version worked way better: turn on gas, watch connects and you don’t have to worry again). Now I constantly need to bring back watch close to POD before dive or connection is lost. Underwater looks like transmission is OK, mainly drop outs occur out of water. ps. My suspicion is with this new feature in newest firmware, probably it brought some additional complexity and stability issues: “Possibility to link two tank pods to same gas If two tank pods are linked to same gas, the tank pressure field will show two tank pressures during dive”

@BlackRabbit I do export from sunto app and import to Subsurface. Just use JSON file export. (still waiting for second POD to arrive from distributor but the one I have is there) [image: 1786209427565-zrzut-ekranu-2026-08-8-o-19.16.44.png]

@Migsey The DM5 still exists, it shouldn’t be a big deal to bring a new version with Nautic / cloud support. Then we could see the same dives in both applications. Suunto app for eyecandy and overview, DM5 for details

I have got this answer from Suunto via the Norwegian service centre: HR sensor is not possible to pair yet, but in the next software update it should be possible. The instructions on how to do this were unfortunately left in the manual, even though the feature was not available at launch.

@ccrhenrik This is usual behavior for nearly all smartwatches I know (not only Suunto) that they can pair to only one app connection. You need i.e. to disable bluetooth on the other device (or to unpair it in BT, but then you need to pair again) , then it switches to the app on the second device. This is how I have solved it.

Would be interesting if the Nautic S is a valid competitor too. As fa as I know it misses the Big Display, Dual View (Basic Data plus e.g. Compass) and the battery lifetime which are the big pluses of the nautic. For 5 tankpods/gases and Helium I am not sure So not in the same ballpark, right?
