@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in S9 barometer problems: So your garmin overregisters ascent. Take this with a grain of salt but I live in NL. If I apply the same philosophy at some flats I ll be ascenting like 100+ meters that is not realistic. -+1m changes should not be reported as they do not really contribute to any effort the user should take into account for his performance lever nor data wise. That is counting noise basically. I wrote something similar just days ago And yes, my Edge registers hundreds of meters of ascent in Amsterdam, that gladly Runalyze fixes on its own.

@pacos said in Gps with navigation map: @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos thanks for the info. This would be really a great improvements to maximize the use of fused-track. Fair enough if would set GPS in best mode in navigation screen when consulting, but then switching in the selected mode of the activity (endurance, ultra) when looking at other screens. And if this happens also for the altitude screen this is outstanding, as in races with high elevation profiles, it’s very useful keeping focused the altitude screen Thanks Paolo That is correct, and since @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos already stated this I can say it is working as stated. If you are on the Route screen or Altitude profile screen the watch will switch to best GPS, when on other screens the watch will switch back to FusedTrack.

Hi @TELE-HO, I received it today. I had a Spartan Sport that I lost during a Skimo, most probably because of the wristband failing … I ordered a new one with the fidelity offer.

@zadow said in VO2max levels confusing: Well, I guess that we could debate about it till end of the days. Runalyze vs Firstbeat (Suunto) and we’ll never come to any conclusion. RA and FB calculation will never meet, just because both are using different algorithm and none of them is able to handle intervals and trails run in correct way. Not even GAP. As was mentioned here here already (and many times before) real value can be measured in lab only. Well, so you can go, let measure your real VO2max value in lab, and the set a correction factor in RA. Of course, do not forget to remove all interval or trail runs from calculation (in RA). Keep calculation for races (single race runs, not multisport races) and steady runs. Then one should be able to keep track on nearly real VO2 max. That is for Runalyze (RA). For Suunto calculation, it is just not possible (afaik) to exclude specific run from calculation… Oh yes, and please keep in mind that effective VO2max in RunAnalyze is calculated from VO2max and running efficiency. So, here is another factor in game telling us that you just cannot simply compare values from Runalyze and from Suunto. They are just not the same… Have a nice day all! but we are discussing the algorithms right?

@Ojmjakon said in Little green spot by watch face - Suunto 9: I thought this green dot is something more useful… Well, the dot does represent new information … and knowledge is power … but, sadly, the wrong kind for extending battery life. Enjoy.
