Suunto 9 baro: December 2020 update
-
Guys, I remember that @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos mentioned when the latest update went out in September that maybe “if we’ll be good” Suunto Claus will deliver us a Christmas present - another update for Suunto 9 family. I think we were very, very polite and loyal. What do you think?
-
-
Yes please , I check suunto update s9 , Facebook and suunto forum every hour
-
so much ?! Try every minute !
-
I think typically after each “feature” release comes a smaller fix / feature release after x months.
I am holding my breath for this month.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in Suunto 9 baro: December 2020 update:
“feature”
We all hold our breaths

@markytarky
I think it was referring to the previous release. This time it’s time to “smaller fix / feature release”
if I have not misunderstood -
@Saketo-Nemo correct
-
Working from home, we don’t even need to play the “bring your cable to the office” game this time
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I’m satisfied with what I have at the moment. My proposals were minor improvements:
- GPS+Gal combo better accuracy;
- Better wrist HR;
- Navigation with info about time to reach destination;
- VO2 also for cycling;
- more integration of S+ add-on “Safe” with APP to send allert in case of accident.
-
@Luís-Pinto “minor”

my suuntolink has been updated

Release notes:
We have improved the communications about when new software updates are available and when they are downloaded successfully.
Also firmware updates?
-
@isazi though it is not funny anymore…
-
I wish some of my S5 findings / issues were fixed although I worry that the only real issue I’m constantly struggling with (keep moving to see direction) won’t get fixed as it’s not flagged as issue but rather a design decision.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel not changed unfortunately
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos too bad
It seems that I’m in the minority thinking that the way this reminder is implemented is dangerous. This isn’t about “I want this or that feature” yadda yadda. I simply find it dangerous while actually using the navigation in tough terrain while moving slowly enough for the watch to trigger the message.
It should be more than enough to display a similar text once per training session, but not whenever the navigation screen is reset (as it is now). Even a mobile notification or auto lap can retrigger it so even keeping the navigation screen on all the time doesn’t fix it.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel This was a significant problem for me when moving uphill on steep terrain. I reported this as well and I do not think it is a “good” design decision. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely to change.

Another user in another topic wrote he is expecting an update for 3/5/9 next week. He actually says the date.
Bets?
