Battery capacity S9 vs Fenix 6: wrist HR

@sky-runner, yes I think this was the problem. I wear on the left hand with baro holes in the direction of the run, thus with sweat force and push to enter… if I wear on the right I didn’t have the problem. But I couldn’t accept to use an 800 euro swatch on right which I am not used to. I call for a design flaw but again they never replied and just replaced at every claim… it’s also not affecting everyone for any reason, as it happens for most of their bugs, random on a random group of people. I gave it up.

that’s garmin… no customer care whatsoever… sorry to say that. My experience with Suunto is soooo much better in many ways…
that’s why I can easily live with the lower battery life of 31hrs with chest belt in best GPS mode -

@TELE-HO and who knows if next Suunto 9 generation is bringing more battery/less drain for 24h fitness measures and UTMB without pain, the pulse OX, and cartographic maps… in Suunto quality. I’m not asking too much, don’t you?

@TELE-HO could be som more capacity would like to activate the daily HR daytime too, but that just burns the battery. so I just track the sleep.

@TELE-HO litle sunlight north of the arctic circle at the moment my S9B lasts longer than med too, but I would like to charge less often than 2-3 times a week

I know, I was a couple of times just below the arctic circle in december very nice, but also very hard to do sports there!I don’t use any sleeptracking or 24/7 HR etc… I charge my watch around every 8-10 days, depending on how active or lazy I am.
When I had the Fenix 3 and later the Ambit3 I used to charge them before every second activity to be sure about the battery life. This is gone with the S9B and I do not worry about that.
But I understand you, since 24/7 HR eats quite some power you can observe the percentage almost dropping like in freefall (just a feeling!).
I decided for myself that 24/7 HR is nice but not really relevant for me and I prefer to have more battery life over seeing a graph that shows me my theoretical recovery status. I know we’ve got people in here, and I totally respect them, who need to know their recovery and rely on that. But I do sports for fun and when I go on a biketour I don’t need to be 100% recovered to enjoy it and I also notice if my legs are still tired from the past activities and hence I take it a bit more easy -
@TELE-HO all you need is this to do some sports in the dark I use sleep tracking because it is a nice gadget to record the HR when sleeping and how low your HR actually is. But I don`t need the recovery thing because I can feel if I have energy or not. But it is the HR thing I think it is nice to see, how the HR changes during the day. Now when it is dark I do maybe 7 hours of outdoor training and when it is snow that can be more. So at least I have to charge after 5 days with HR tracking on when sleeping and fly mode rest of the day.
