@Phillip-Morgan That is the issue and I am sorry! Nice work on the run! If you continue using the 9baro use ultra mode, which should give you 120h of recording but HR will be off. If you want HR use a belt and you will be fine. The other option is to purchase a Suunto Vertical Solar where Performance mode will be fine for an event that is ~100h.

@TyreseJ4 I think my watch is starting to do much of what you describe. Yesterday it crashed just seconds after starting a cycling activity with HR, Power, and Speed sensors paired. Note that I did not enable the Di2 Suunto+ App as it would most probably crash the watch. Result? The watch crashed and soft reset anyway This had never happened before (crash without a Suunto+ App enabled). At this point, I have started to think that there is a software+hardware problem which I won’t debug for Suunto, since it is obvious that they do not care either. 25 days since I reported the problem, not a single answer. Whenever my Suunto 9 dies, it will be my last Suunto, and I will make sure that everybody in my sport/scuba diving circle is aware of it. And you might think that after recent events, they would not like to be in a position where they are loosing customers that have been around for decades… Go figure!

@mechanic maybe there is a misunderstanting of the conception of the alti/baro. There is one fixed value (absolute pressure) and two variable values (altitude / pressure at MSL). You can adjust both the cuurent altitude and the MSL pressure manually in the watch. If the absolute value is off though, this cannot be changed afaik. It is then a sensor malfunction which cannot be overcome with a software change.

@surfboomerang not really. Although unlikely. But maybe worth trying, at least before buying a new watch.

@sartoric yeah it was accurate. I’m not really tech savvy so I don’t understand how you can get a ‘bad reset’, to then get a ‘good reset’. Still I will try it and reset the watch again.

@surfboomerang said in [S9 watchface FR]: distinguish of tapping to upper half of screen: unfortunately no new firmware release after 19th of november 2018. So no changes. I hoped there’s some FW being under testing which could give us some hope…

@rfernandes79 in short: GPS only data are very erratic. On Flat they can register too much On great ascents they look ok. Suunto uses a 7m filter (you have to climb 7 to get 7m ascent or more). however! On strava you can correct this! If that is what interests you

@loopylou72 j This should probably be moved to the appropriate OS, are you on iOS or Android? Could you try this on a stock sport mode? I will check with my watch today too.

@Halcon Well, first view are common compass navigation indicators. The red is always the North https://www.suunto.com/Support/Product-support/suunto_spartan_ultra/suunto_spartan_ultra/features/points-of-interest/ The others are zones indicators https://www.suunto.com/Support/Product-support/suunto_9/suunto_9/features/intensity-zones/#topic_XY1NkxikIEO4TyozWstYig

@gerasimos this is a fantastic idea. I like the idea of customizable long press features for each button. I do like quick access to settings with the middle button, but maybe some additional features could be long press the top/bottom buttons for backlight, screenlock, stopwatch/timer, alarm, start last performed activity (ie. run, swim, bike)[useful for those of us who have one predominant activity]…just to name a few. I am sure that there are many others that people could think of.
