@SteffMG76 I’m not sure what you mean by atmospheric pressure being incorrect - do you mean altitude? I believe you should be able to enter a different height but the pressure is the pressure (and changes with the weather hence you may need to adjust the altitude).

@sky-runner yes, you are completely right. They probably use NGP but even that is an estimated compensation that does not work for everyone and also not on every terrain/slope. Definitely, separating trail running and normal running is a must and also take out walking activities. Also manually excluding activities where you know that they aren’t reliable would be really nice. I also asked for these feature in multiple forum posts but I don’t think Suunto reads along or cares.

[image: 1762446464483-screenshot-2025-11-06-at-17.17.03.png] Would like to change route / track color so I could see that better on a map. How do I do that in Suunto app?

@valeR It seems okay with the new firmware. I get 10 days of backup, and generally, I record 6-8 biking activities for 2.5 hours, HR off, just GPS. The biggest issue you can’t customise any of the modes for battery other than in the built-in modes. If you try to modify something, other functions dont work. e.g. I you want to get more battery power, and you go with battery mode ultra and same time you need a map, that option is disabled, and you are forced to be in performance for no reason. I am in tour mode and not bothered much about GPS accuracy, but same time I can’t see the map, which might be important to me. Basically, you can’t customise and save settings the way you want. I escalated this issue with the support team, but they have no clue. Posted here in the forum, but I get a reply from the “FanBoys” without understanding the actual needs of the users. Suunto allowed customising GPS, Battery and other functions with the Ambit model (connect with SuuntoLink), but now that is not supported with new models. I am a long-term Suunto user, and with the newer model, I am getting disappointed more and more. No one is talking about the actual issue with firmware, but be is a race to add some features that don’t work properly or fix issues. More importantly, I am sure no one from Suunto has bothered to read what we are putting up here and suffering with. They put Race 2 now, and no one is talking about the Race S issue, which has been there from day one. They put an advertisement that you can customise a watch, but in reality, nothing works.

@aerodynamik no way to change it but, it’s not Avg pace twice, it’s lap duration at the top, then avg lap page + Avg lap hr, if not mistaken this is now same as all other Suunto watches.

@francesco-boschini On the latest firmware 2.26.8 the actual height appears in mountain biking (trial) only on the second display in the middle left side and the total ascent appears in the upper right side. In normal cycling exercise there is no actual height displayed only total ascent. If you use a predefined route in navigation mode, then you have the actual height displayed as graph in a separate display.

@ibrahim-bayram you can’t load stuff from chatgpt … and to be honest I wouldn’t use it for coaching @ibrahim-bayram said in Suuntoapp not updating external workouts to s9baro: gpt saying develepor mode of suunto app has this function maybe someway to open develepor mode This is pure AI hallucination bs and even if a developer mode exists, it’s meant for developers, not to load training plans. Can’t you use Suunto Coach ? Can’t you find any available, valid training ?

Hello, today we noticed this issue on my wifes 5 Peak. Unfortunatelly it has already 2.5 year so it is not under warranty anymore. And she is light user, and not wearing it while washing dishes, showering, sleeping etc. Only around 9hours a day during working days only and then while cycling/hiking but thats few times a month. Hello, lately I heard some “click-clack” from inside my Ambit-3. I opened it and saw that the GPS antenna was broken. A few days before I opened my son’s Ambit-2 Peak as its battery is nearly dead and I wanted to look for the battery’s specs. So I switched the Ambit-2’s gps antenna to the Ambit-3. But now the Ambit-3 runs into errors (looping into “Connect to Moveslink”). Rollback to the broken antenna fixes that. The antenna is labeled as a Partron ANPP1585F4ZSA, which can also be seen on https://fccid.io/RYP23391/Internal-Photos/Internal-photos-2371063 But I wasn’t able to find anything about that in www. Does anybody here has an idea where to find/buy the antenna? Regards, Chris

I haven’t used my D5 since January; I got it out of the cupboard today to charge it as it’s dead, but I can’t remember how to attach the charger. I’ve searched the manual but it just says ‘attach’, it doesn’t explain how. There’s a red thing on the end of the cable which I seem to recall ‘snaps’ onto the watch, but right now it’s not snapping onto anything - it doesn’t stick to the back of the watch like I seem to remember. Have I got this totally wrong? Please can someone explain in simple terms how to attach the charger?! Thanks

@cosme.costa Hopefully, this new hotfix includes also the 9PP, and it will fix the unresponsive touchscreen on the navigation screen and the continuous vibration when the zoom is at 50m. (And, just to keep the faith, hopefully it will also bring the out-of-range alarms, interval number, and countdown in structured workouts.)

@pavel.samokha Is there any hope that the Balkans will get back the contour lines above the 200 m limit anytime soon? I’m really struggling to understand why some regions get this but others don’t. This has now been going on for years, and I tend to buy a new watch every 2-3 years. So it spans the entirety of this watch’s lifetime with me. Why do some regions get better treatment regarding maps? Should this be presented to buyers so they know that, depending on the region they live in, some features could not work as expected? I love Suunto ecosystem and build quality, but I’m not sure I’d accept this limitation on my next watch TBH.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos if it’s not too late… > Agility would also be great. I would even think that having two different GPS tracks simultaneously recorded (one for the dog and one for the runner) would be incredible (just dreaming… or maybe an actual business opportunity ).

@fritzbt2013 said in Climb guidance 2.0 issue - not all zoom levels are available at the end of the route (see picture): I agree with the suggested changes, but they should put waypoint name where distance is Great idea about the waypoint name! The time is completely redundant on this screen!

Well thought out and reasonable suggestions for improvement, as usual. I would also suggest an option to display intensity zones ring/gauge on the map screen, just as it is displayed on other data pages. It would be very helpful to have it even without the corresponding numerical data field. This way, users could stay on the map page all the time without switching back and fort to check the intensity. 🥵

@Tieutieu said in Feature request : set an alarm during exercice: Hey, I couldn’t find any post or topic related : when an alarm is set before starting exercice, it rings during exercice. But we can’t set a new alarm when an exercice has started. It would be so useful to be able to activate a new alarm through exercice options. For instance during a nap on an ultra trail race. This summer I missed that so much during a 39h race, and had to use my phone instead. Oh man, I’m sleeping thru a watch alarm on a dirt nap LOL Otherwise yes, love this idea

@Tomas5 A little late, but yes - at least my Race S has automatic brightness. It works sometimes good, sometimes really bad. Must of the summer with the bright sun coming from one side you either have a really bright and readable display (sun side) or its unreadable (shadow side). Yesterday on a sunny autumn trailrun in the woods it worked really great. I think the more dizzy light helps. My conclusion is: AMOLED can work great - when the software helps to optimize the light settings. There is room for improvement and so is hope…

@Alpha-156.42 said in OHR: Why do people believe that optical heart rate sensors, no matter if they’re from Garmin, Apple, or other brands, can measure heart rate accurately in every situation? This is why, text directly from suunto race 2 product page: The redesigned back panel enables better heart rate measurement from the wrist. The result? A seamless, powerful training experience. But text that it doesn’t work for everyone or every skin tone is buried somewhere in usermanual only. It is same with sleeptracking or any other metric. If you sell device for 500€ and advertise that it does something, then you must expect that people will require that advertised features just works. This is overal problem of marketing, not just Suunto.

@Josaiplu RPE is a very good metric, but feeling is not exactly that and there was a thread where one could see that people understand that quite differently, therefor any addition to algorithm does not make sense also in my opinion. (But Recovery is also kind of made up metric that has not much science behind it, so maybe it fits, idk)

@sky-runner Ok, I think I see where you mean - that small section between the two dots (waypoints or turns)? So you think it just skipped ahead while you were somewhere on section 6? (Sorry, I’m trying to follow along.) Perhaps in addition to the watch always trying to figure out which direction you’re traveling, it’s also always trying to figure out where you are along the route, rather than just assuming you are strictly moving from one point to the next. So maybe somewhere along section 6, it incorrectly guessed you were farther along in your route (since the paths cross at 6/7) and updated the directional arrow accordingly, but hadn’t yet updated the distance remaining since that lags behind. I’d bet if you had followed the light blue path, away from your car, the remaining distance would have also skipped ahead soon after. But since you followed the route as planned, it didn’t have time to adjust to this mistake. Whatever is going on, you are correct that it’s screwy and inconsistent.
