Guys Is it possible to add manual POI recording on the app to them add to the watch. Manual POI like Lat, Long ? Or what3words. Addresses and any other method. Using the map to select a point is fine but unless I have Missed a step I can’t see a way to add a POI other than this. Many locations have a GEO of some kind and it may be handy to be able to add this fast and simple to get a POI into your watch in shortest possible time and steps. Can you consider this ?

Perfect. It’s clear that I was the one who got confused, although it wouldn’t be a bad idea if it could be done. Sometimes sleeping with the watch is a bit uncomfortable. Thanks for your reply.

@Olaf-Gottschalk said in Back from Winter, first ride with Race, bug still there. : I have raised this here before - but no Suunto developer is interested in fixing this issue for good. I simply hate this attitude. So Suunto basically destroyed the product after purchase and does not care. Please help. Do you really think your rhetoric helps? Or encourages someone to spend their own time to help you? Perhaps reflect on that.

I can confirm that the music is working fine with the Suunto Run and Sony WCF-510! I think the issue was with the music files because today I tested with different music and everything was perfect! Kudos for Suunto for making such a cheap watch with music support.

Is there a way to set up intervals on the main display of a sport mode? I don’t want to swipe down during exercises. I want to just see ‘3/10 RUN’ or something similar on the watch face. Thx

I know that HR measurement at the wrist can be difficult and it is better to use a chest strap. However, even for normal walking (not even Nordic walking) I get horribly wrong measurements, e.g. yesterday the watch showed a maximum of 139 bpm in the afternoon, but an 24h-ECG (which should be 100% accurate) shows a maximum of 106 bpm in the morning (it is hard to search for the same time span). Anyhow, the difference is not acceptable! Yes the watch has correct settings (left arm) and is correctly attached to the wrist. What can I do? I need to track my pulse.

Good day, I have a Suunto Spartan Ultra and have had it for 8 years. From my last Samsung UI update my watch has not synced my daily steps with the Suunto app. I have tried the following but not success: Restart phone and watch. Reinstall Suunto App Force stop Suunto App Unpair watch from phones Bluetooth and reconnect. Gave all items on Suunto App permission. Made sure Suunto APP and phone is not on energy saving mode. If anyone has a solution please assist. Kind regards

I thought the Wahoo cycling cadence sensor would connect to the Suunto app easily being Bluetooth. Should it? It’s also not connecting to the Ambit3 watch.

I haven’t used my D5 since January; I got it out of the cupboard today to charge it as it’s dead, but I can’t remember how to attach the charger. I’ve searched the manual but it just says ‘attach’, it doesn’t explain how. There’s a red thing on the end of the cable which I seem to recall ‘snaps’ onto the watch, but right now it’s not snapping onto anything - it doesn’t stick to the back of the watch like I seem to remember. Have I got this totally wrong? Please can someone explain in simple terms how to attach the charger?! Thanks

@aiv4r I dont think its RIP. We could could not deliver the update in a stable way there. And for that we could not stall the updates for the other watches.

Just replied to a post in the 9PP forum specific to this issue, but probably more appropriate to mention here… After the last firmware update I started getting frequent phantom alerts/vibrations - several per day with no message on the screen or apparent reason. In my case, this behaviour it disappeared after a few days without me taking any action, however over the last few days it has spontaneously started again - frequent phantom alerts/vibrations. Not sure if this was acknowledged as a bug in the latest s/w and we can expect a fix in the imminent release?

Update done, Pace zones were set back to default. So people might want to check that. Other than that loving it so far, especially the option to disable the crown vibration : ) Will check the map updates after work.

@Emmanuel-Gutierrez yeah, maybe. But I think that you can do something about the steps and active calories, but nothing about the passive ones. So, you see actionable items in that widget front and centre…

@maszop said in New SMART barometric algorithm: @wakarimasen This has nothing to do with measuring altitude itself — that’s never been a problem with Suunto. Look at the top part of the altitude graph, and you’ll see a jagged line with multiple little, sharp peaks (caused by strong wind) that add up, giving absurd ascent and descent totals. It’s a bit better since the last update, but the results are still absurd and essentially useless for any analysis. Understood. Ascent/ descent isn’t so important for me, I guess. I’m just pleased to get to the top, and know how far there is to go on the way there. My Polar watch ‘over-read’ by 10m at the summit, for comparison.

@Tieutieu said in Climb guidance 2.0 issue - not all zoom levels are available at the end of the route (see picture): @sky-runner the only missing thing ihmo is this extra zoom level when there is waypoints . In other cases climb guidance is perfect No, it is not perfect when doing a really long distance with a lot of waypoints, and that is what the above report is about. The zooming doesn’t work correctly when at the end of the route as it may not be possible to zoom in to the desired zoom level. Imagine that you run a 100 km race and let’s say there is an aid station at 5 km before the finish and another aid station at 10 km before the finish. And let’s say there are waypoints for all aid stations. And let’s say you are just past the second from the end aid station, so basically you have 10 km to go and one more waypoint before the finish. Please see the picture at the top of the post for the illustration of what I am trying to explain. At that point it is possible to see the entire profile for the entire 100km, but the elevation profile is so compressed horizontally that it is unusable. Also it is possible to zoom just at the 2nd from the end segment of the profile - from 10km before the finish to 5km before the finish. That is good. But it is impossible to zoom into the segment that shows the last 10 km - from 10km before the finish to the finish. Instead it goes straight into the entire 100km profile. That’s what the above report is about. A similar zoom level is available at the beginning of the route but not at the end. The logic is flawed!

@DrSilverthorn said in Course planner feature suggestion: @sky-runner this could work. Maybe the degree to which you prefer one solution vs another is tied to how obsessively you’re watching the info I think I’d prefer the configurability of a data field option, which would probably involve fewer button presses If there was a dedicated waypoint data screen and I could customize it, I’d definitely use that. But in general I don’t like Suunto’s approach of mixing navigation specific data fields with other data fields on regular data screens. I don’t like having unused data fields when navigation isn’t used. I also don’t like an idea of having a special sport customization just for the case when I use navigation. In my opinion, navigation specific data should only be visible when I use navigation and otherwise be hidden. Garmin solved that by allowing users to customize navigation specific data screens that only show up during navigation. My eyesight isn’t that great anymore so I don’t like having a lot of data fields on each data screen (4 or 5 at max), which means with only 3 data screens I can’t even afford to waste some of the space for navigation specific data fields like distance to next waypoint or ETA. I used that in the past with Suunto 9, but would definitely prefer a cleaner solution. When I used Garmin. I always enabled the “Up Next” feature, which is a dedicated data screen that shows up to 4 upcoming waypoints with their names, symbols, and remaining distances to them.
