This is almost unreadable for me, tiny fonts (I see a pattern here) - I hope Suunto create a dedicated app or even a web app with dark mode.

@josephkarl said in Disappointed Android users: oid device has started lagging and the device becomes slow and many apps are getting affected with that and affecting the outlook app was one of them. The phone might get slower due to one single app if this one is using huge amounts of CPU, but it’s impossible that other apps are directly affected in terms of they stop working or have crashes because of Suunto. Each app running on an Android phone acts as a single user in a multi-user Linux system. This means that the apps live in their own sandbox regarding security, performance, etc. There is one pop-up when you install the SA asking you to allow the app to run in the background in order to provide a better service. If you don’t allow this (can also change it in the settings), the performance/battery of the phone will definitely not be affected although you might miss a couple of notifications.

@Jan-Louw you need iOS 11 at least to get the connected services. Unfortunately that is a requirement from Apple to secure connections. That is not able to be done on iOS lower than 11. If you cannot use iOS 11 you can find a phone from a friend , android or iOS (11 and up) and login , do the connection etc and that should be it. Even if you connect to partners via another phone the connection is remembered on our servers

Perhaps what can help, if you have issues while swimming switch to the navigation screen. There you should be able to see the track and the arrow of your location. Actually, I use navigation with swimming a lot and that should work great.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos got it, but just to mention it once more - even without any breaks or possible auto stops (e.g. doing rounds in an a stadium, etc) the difference is annoying and significant… SA simply does not look and/or feel relieable due to to this rather significant issue

@karel-louda said in Current state of the App?: @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Garmin Connect not, but Garmin Explore has a full support to create/edit routes and waypoints and that all is possible in OFFLINE mode (without data connection - maps are downloadable). I have a Garmin inReach Mini satellite communicator that uses the Garmin Earthmate app, and Garmin Explore is a clone of that. I am not sure that you can plan routes and sync completely offline. I cannot with Earthmate and both use the same web platform. I can only import GPX via the web, it is a PITA. The route planning on Explore is not very good and there are no heat maps. SA is miles ahead on iOS as it allows cloud import and sharing of GPX tracks. You cannot import into Explore and the maps that Garmin uses for these apps are not that great. GAIA is way better and that is what I typically use for route planning.

@margusl Usually on the IBI you apply the instant conversion to HR, you crop big and low values and then you do 1-2 rolling average filters. To normalize the HR graph. However , IBI/RR should not derive from HR. They hold more information that the HR (which is kinda stupid imo but well). But I can see perhaps why one would put that chart there, that should be due to showing that the value exists , even if it’s not an RR/IBI plot eg like Runanaluyze does .

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I guess that until Strava updates its side, it’s the most sensible way to deal wit this issue ! Thanks for the following !

@ofriend2000 said in Suunto 9 baro, gpx, more than 1000points possible?: But the website always trim the gpx to only 1000 points, which makes the gpx file less accurate I have just tried to import .gpx file to Movescount website with 3.500 nodes, and there was no problem. Then I downloaded it to the watch Ambit 3 Peak (via synchronization) and there was no problem either. However I do not know, if there was any simplification, when synchrozing with the watch. In Movescount website I still see original file with 3.500 nodes…

Works fine for running. Poolswim is still missing some data. And to get that into SportTracks you need to go through SuuntoLink.

I used SF3 for 2 weeks, than switched to S9 (September 2018), and I still have VO2Max in SA. It just shows 0 all the time. I would also like to see all data that sensor collects.

Hello and welcome to the forum, there is no way to export data directly from the watch to Strava without a mobile phone. I think with “recorded tracks” you mean your activities and the included route data. You have to use Movescount or SuuntoApp to sync and then connect to Strava to see your activities there. After that you can see segments, if there are any, in Strava. But there is no abitily to see live segments on your or any Suunto watch at the moment. Joerg

@SlaSh just running. the data was imported from MC and all of the above metrics are missing. I have done a new workout (running) and sync the watch directly to Suunto App. It seems that some of the above data is available, the only thing still missing is VO2. I have read that VO2 is supposed to be shown as fitness level. I this correct?

@silentvoyager all data are recorded in speed units. I am not talking about first averaging the speed and then converting. The rounding is about the display value. Makes sense? On the chart 30 difference on the avg that is what I was talking about.
