I just gave up with all the sleep and recovery tracking and use it as a normal watch. More batterylife and no stress with useless functions that work when ever they feel like

I have problems with BT connection of Suunto HR belt since several months… I reported this here in different threads… others too… it would be nice if this issue would be addressed by an update!

@Zdeněk-Hruška Thanks for the information, I sold my race 2, just before the last update from Stryd. I tested some other watches, Polar , Apple WU3 and I think I Will be going back to Suunto V2. So I hope it will work normal again

@paolo-1 Use RunGap, it will upload all Apple Workouts or Strava to Suunto. You will have to pay a small fee and you can find RunGap in the App Store. In the future add SportsTracker app to your iPhone and Apple Watch and connect the Apple Watch. SportsTracker is developed by Suunto and will automatically sync Apple workouts and SportsTracker workouts on the Apple Watch to the Suunto app. SportsTracker and Suunto app share the same database.

@Manuel-Extreme said in I’m waiting for…: Let’s slow down a bit. I think I understand the misunderstanding. I’m not criticizing the excellent work of the people who are directly involved in building a great outdoor product, within an iconic company that competes against giants with revenues 100 times higher. On the contrary, full respect and appreciation. As a user, I’m simply looking forward to a new firmware update so I can fully enjoy my device with new features and bug fixes, especially considering the last update was almost three months ago. I think others in the community are also eagerly waiting for the next updates I think I got your message right from the beginning. But the update issue ran a bit out of control in the last months, with that I mean with not adequate posts and statements. You should be part of the mature users here. For my part, I appreciate some of your latests posts (just a thank you at this place). So take it easy if your post is misunderstood.

I have similar issues on my Race S several months ago an apparently fixed a couple of firmware update ago. In recent weeks I realized the problems popped up intermittently. I had been diligently sync-ing and exporting Stryd-only data for my runs and compare them to Suunto’s data. About half the time, the power numbers matched well, while the others will be off by 5 to 10w. And when the data got merged into Power Center, the Suunto’s numbers persisted, “compromising” the overall data quality. This is really frustrating.

@martintrail My Vertical behaves slightly differently. It correctly detects naps, sleep onset, and wake-up time. However, it doesn’t seem to capture the many times I get up, sit on the bed, move from the bed to the couch, etc. When compared with Whoop and Garmin, the Vertical tends to smooth out those awake moments and classify them as “light sleep.”

@e6321 I’ve been using sportwatches, smartwatches, and fitness bands from different manufacturers for decades, and only the Vertical 2 gives me this issue. Even the Vertical 1 never caused these problems. I think the hardware has now reached a very high level of precision, just like the algorithms that interpret the signals. However, the additional customizations introduced at the software level to improve data representation may be adding noise — or removing noise — from the signal.

Fortunately, it’s not like Garmin, where they advertise a million unnecessary features and users get badges even for sleeping…
