@Horizontal_2 unless you have disabled auto-updates, they are always installed automatically at night

@stbuk In the new software on the new watches it is now autodetect. You are not given the option to choose a time.

@jjpaz Small oscillations in altitude aren’t necessary added to the ascent and descent. There is a threshold. The best way to observe that on the watch is to have a custom data screen with the altitude field side by side with ascent and descent fields. These fields don’t change at the same time.

It all depends on which weather service is being used. For me, in the Netherlands, my suunto race s does a good enough job. It also shows the location it used on the watch. As far as I noticed, this applies to most European countries. My previous 2 garmins did a lousy job. Garmin uses a service that only provides weather for main airports. People complained about it that the watch showed a different place then they were at the moment. Garmin “fixed” this by removing the location information from the watch, so you couldn’t judge the accuracy of the weather report anymore. So, people complained on garmins forum that the location information was removed. Garmin “fixed” the complaning by closing the topic on their forum. And yes, two weather services might provide a forecast that contradicts each other.

@Audaxjoe It did similar tonight but then an option to update the watch came up. So I’ve done that and I’ll see what happens next time.

@stromdiddily I had to go to the “sensors” menu in the activity start screen and tell it to use the HRM I wanted to use, the second time I went for a run. After that, it automatically recognized it. The issue seemed to have come about because/when I paired two different HRMs and the watch didn’t know which one to use, so to say. (So maybe also try just pairing one of them…)
