@Nico78 There’s no “classic” bluetooth. Suuunto watches (and most wearable devices) use low power edition of bluetooth (btle) on all suunto i believe it could be 5.x edition minor number doesn’t make sense. it works on the same band 2.4 GHz. but significantly lower transmition power ±0.1 W as far i remember depends on exact antena and case.

@Greennorth I think he was referring to the picture of the watch in the app…

@ggrego said: @peegee Hello, is it impossible to use ascents in personalized sport mode? it is possible. Read the first message in this thread. You just have to make the custom mode after updating the firmware.

It seems that this update has fixed the bug. The OHR sensor has remained active for 24 hours without switching off.

Und ja, das Problem haben andere auch. in English: the WHR does not work well on a tatooed arm. This is known.

@aiv4r Yes, NGP and a few other metrics that should not have anything to do with HR. And because of that r-TSS hasn’t been calculated correctly - I believe it depends on NGP.

I still think it would be much easier – and therefore faster – to implement this in the SuuntoApp rather than in the watch software. You could achieve not only the same results but even more. Plus, you wouldn’t have all the limitations – sleep analysis, recovery, TSS, CTL, ATL, HRV, etc. You could also, for example, use different activities during a multi‑day trek – like swimming, climbing, or via ferrata – without having to deal with complicated activity session management or multisport mode. Additionally, full freedom of sensor management between different parts of a multi‑day activity. Reboot, update etc. between days etc. On top of that, it would be available to every user (like ZoneSense), not just those with the latest watches. And you wouldn’t have to pray that a crash doesn’t happen during such long and complex recorded activities. You could also relatively easily group and combine selected activities into one final one, and then – like with any regular activity – export it automatically to other services, just as it currently happens at the end of every activity. Especially since, in such a case, it’s really only about the total distance, elevation gain, duration, and a few less important stats like steps or calories. All the other statistics are far more useful on a daily (per session) basis for ongoing analysis.

@Stefan-T. I guess it depends on the day. On a good day, we can laugh it off and see it as a minor issue. On a bad day, we might look at the watch and wonder, “Seriously? How can such an expensive watch have such a ridiculous bug?” Anyway, let’s hope the next firmware update fixes it — preferably before we all become experts at soft-resetting our watches.

@nmiguelrf I don’t remember well whats was the reason but this was in the watches (Spartan for sure and even early firmwares for the S9B, but I do not remember well) and had some downsizes too, so they switch to determine the zones using the phone. I think that if you search in the forum you can find some threads about this. So, you have to sync your phone to get the correct zone in your watch. BTW, for me it is ok how it works now.

@Milan-Šádek Thanks for confirming! I was actually worried about losing my physiological metrics like HRV baseline and training load history (coming from a Garmin background, a hard reset usually wipes all that training status data). But since Suunto stores all these trends in the cloud/app, I feel much safer doing it now. I’ll go ahead with the factory reset tonight to clear out whatever is blocking the sync, and then reinstall my offline maps. I’ll let you know if it successfully fixes the “My Plan” workout sync! Thanks again for the help.

From support (email) today: Quote: Our technical team has confirmed that the watch may crash under heavy usage. They have identified this behavior and are working on optimizing it in a future software version. In the meantime, we recommend the following temporary workaround: Reduce the use of high-energy Suunto applications when possible. Restart the watch before starting your exercise or activity. These steps can help improve stability until the optimization is included in a future update.
