This should be fixed in the hotfix release that is coming to your watches between today and tomorrow.

@MdzOtt Thank you for that. Are you on the latest FW as well? Do you have any Suunto+ Apps running with that sports mode you record your rides? For example, I have the Di2 App enabled. Maybe the disconnects have something to do with that (or something similar like that). I mean the fact that you have no issues with the same device could mean that the reason for the drops is just a small difference in any setting.

@Egika ah - I understand, my misunderstanding as I use it a bit different. For me raise to wake on configuration uses 6-7% battery a day (Vertical 2). This was the best I could get (OX measurement off, 24h HR on). That gives me without training about two weeks. Then after each charging I need to do the soft reset, otherwise battery-drain is awful.

@Thorlap71 try a different charger to check, I use any random charger I have around though, so I doubt that is the case, but you never know. If I was you I would contact support, and ask for a replacement if under warranty.

@the_jav why would we want all this historical data stored in/on the watch? That is what the app is for IMO.

Hi @Egika, Are there any news about this topic? Today I experienced another strange multiple lines on the track. It was here somewhere around here: 49.00919°N 17.04928°E And this is how it looks like: [image: 1787691940085-5463.jpg] [image: 1787691940286-5464.jpg]

Oui, on est plusieurs à avoir constaté ça. Espérons que Suunto corrige le bogue rapidement.

@Egika said: @Thorlap71 have you followed the recommendation of resetting your watch? It should definitely not reboot randomly. If this happens during exercise, maybe some S+ might be causing it. I have no idea if the next FW update will change something for you. Regarding mobile notifications: You can now select in the watch to be notified in watch mode and during exercise independently. Maybe re-check your settings for both cases. It works for me. Hello, For me it was reboot 3-4 times a day since the new firmware. During exercise as well as during “normal” watch usage. Right after the last reboot (during activity), I sent the log with the app. I tried soft reset, with no luck. I downgraded and no more reboot. Regards

@Egika said: I ever wondered why anyone would like to know their step count. It must have been some good marketing from whoever came up with this… I looked into the history of “step count” and asking some people I know who use that metric, and I think a few things came together to make it popular. First was the “10000 steps” idea made by a Japanese marketing firm years ago which I think people liked as being an easy number to remember, and it was promoted as a universal thing (compare with tracking active calories, where people of different weights like need different targets). https://www.nuhs.edu/debunking-the-10000-step-myth-figuring-out-what-actually-matters/ It also resonates with some people as some of their “natural activity counts” towards it, so walking around the house, etc. gets one somewhat toward the goal then they just need to “finish their steps.” I still see it ideally as more of a “training wheels” metric and think at least tracking active calories is better (so other activities like cycling and yoga “count better” despite not having many steps, as opposed to Polar’s system that assigns “step equivalents” to encourage non-walking activity). And Suunto puts steps and calories on the same Daily Health page so I can see someone new to fitness and Suunto thinking “need steps” eventually learning to use calories instead.

@2b2bff I was wondering the same thing. Either two sensors, or mediocre altitude measurement compared to other watches.

@johann.fuehrer that’s what I said: Suunto App has to be running that way to be paged by the watch. Same with Garmin Connect BTW…

@André-Faria It is hard to claim warranty for this. The watch restarts randomly. My seller says: the fault did not appear.
