      Hi,

Having the same issue with my Vertical 2, distance is calculated correctly during my lap swim, but when I complete the activity the distance changes and pace and duration of activity are completely out of whack. Please FIX!

I have the same issue since 10 days.
I sent a mail at the Suunto support.
I hope this bug will be fixed soon.

Reported bug looks like it needs a watch reboot. After 24days of no reboot it appears. Known and under fix. For now reboot the watch via 12s upper button.

Hello, same issue here on my Suunto Race 2 (firmware 2.56.18]), three swim sessions in a row now where the saved distance ends up way lower than what I actually swam, plus garbled interval durations like others are seeing.

One thing that might help, the corrupted “total_timer_time” values in my .fit export aren’t random, they’re always just above 2,147,483.648s ==> exactly 2^31 ms.
Classic 32-bit overflow ? Subtract that and the durations line up perfectly with the good lengths, so the data’s still there, just wrapping wrong somewhere.

Already emailed support with a sample file.

@clement.cassiet yeah, that equates to the 24 days @dimitrios-kanellopoulos talked about…

Any ETA not fix? This is showstopper for swimmers. Suunto need to improve in testing. Some time ago also similar issue after software update but with skiing…

Hi, Suunto Race 2 user, exact same issue. the 596 interval appears on the watch during the session., 3rd swim in a row - GPS on or GPS off, same issue It seems to baulk through the swim, lap counter and duration seems correct throughout the swim, as does overall distance. But you can see the interval 596 showing up, and you can see the watch is not any longer able to handle the intevals. Distance is correcgt at the end of the swim, then the Suunto app file is corrupted in several ways.

DUration Good, Distance only 60% recorded; heart rate and stroke rate seem ok.Interval laps are clearly broken.

Last seim for me was a 5x200metre freestyle. it recorded a 1x150;1x250; 1x150; 1x100, each one 596.33 minutes long. Strava also has a field day with the data.

I know what I swam, but anyone who sees my Strava now will be forever turned off switching to Suunto.

                    Lap Distance Time Pace HR
                    1 50 m 596:32:18 1193:04:36 /100m 105 bpm
                    2 50 m 596:32:14 1193:04:28 /100m 106 bpm
                    3 50 m 596:32:14 1193:04:28 /100m 112 bpm
                    4 50 m 596:32:20 1193:04:40 /100m 116 bpm
                    5 200 m 0s --:-- /100m 126 bpm
                    6 150 m 596:34:16 397:42:50 /100m 131 bpm

                    Every swim, last three swims.

Needless to say, the Garmin users are having a field day and any triathlete contemplating Suunto, its likely very turned off by seeing this in my Strava feed for three consecutive swims.

I have tried GPS on and GPS off - no difference.

Same issue here. During swimming everything looks fine. Afterwards total distance is lower, together with the wrong interval times of 596 minutes.

This should be fixed in the hotfix release that is coming to your watches between today and tomorrow.
