@Stefan-B Before buying a new belt, you could check: There are posts here that say one can reset the sensor by inserting the battery upside down (that is, reversed polarity). I’m not sure that is officially documented by Suunto but I would try that in your case. If your strap has a black area where the sensor connects, you could get the new redesigned strap that has a grey contact area.

@robis yes. I know my exactly point of altitude, calibration done. Race shows 1022 hPa National meteorological institute for current location 1026. Once more it’s not a big deal, just curious.

@Brad_Olwin Thank you. Indeed. I desactivated the vibration in settings (as i did need the watch to vibrate while in menus). I reactivated vibration and now it works. The settings/options are still a bit confusing for me Thank you. Regards, Yan

@Durri My is not responding very well. No haptics almost at all. No crispy click, like crown is stucked. My Race is travelling tomorow to Vantaa Finland for service repair. Opened online repair request with issue as described! Will report how long the service will last.

I’ve never experienced any lag… it is responsive and fast. Regarding HR… NO, it is not fixed.

@thailon Sleep quality is there. Recovery time is now only present in the activity. This is also true for the Vertical.

So, build a custom sport mode and/or structured workout. The whole thing about this watch is that it is customizable to your specific needs. If it doesn’t come with what you need you can customize it.

I’ve switched from Epix to Suunto Race and I have the same request. I use Humango, and I’ve observed that the Race doesn’t vibrate when I’m going to slow or to fast from the exercise pace. Even if the display is bigger on the Race, the instructions fonts that appear during exercises, are smaller than those on Epix. Very hard to read when you running and the BPM is 175 ️

@isazi That would fit with how general hardware product release works. It’s a shame though, if it is the same size, etc then it would be neat to install into the Race (though I’d understand if not into other, older watches). I also suspect that it’s not a simple swap, there will likely be some minor detail in the manufacturing process which means this is a massive change! @dcrainmaker review makes a compelling case for this new HRM module though, the older version, for me, is a shocker!

@Patrick-Löffler-0 oh you’re welcome, but i’m surprised was afraid it might be too complicated I thought of a method to determine the stream speed too, by throwing some floating item in there and tracking it with a stop watch … distance will never be very precise in that scenario anyways, unfortunately

@jeebs42 I get that! Work about could be to add waypoints for food stops, summits etc ‍️ That is what I do anyway on longer routes. I think that works but haven’t tested it yet. I did read it shows distance to next waypoint.

@HoBart very easy solution. Seems to work so far. Not perfect, but much better than before.
