WISHING Suunto have good firmware update to fix it.

@gtung3388 try the search feature on this forum and you’ll find lots of topics about heart rate issues. Some have them, some don’t. You’ll also find some tips you can try.

Will it improve with future firmware? Who knows, maybe.
What I do know is that Suunto won’t develop any faster because users use the caps lock in their posts.

@gtung3388 Personally I would not use OHR on any watch for training if HR during training is important. Although an Apple Watch for me is more accurate than Suunto it is not as good as a belt. The Epic Gen 2 I tested was about the same as the Race in warm weather. When HR matters to me I wear a belt. For daily monitoring and sleep, the AW Ultra, Suunto and Epic Gen 2 were essentially identical. So I think the OHR serves its purpose. I am not sure with the technology used to detect blood flow that Optical readings will ever be as good as electrical readings.

@gtung3388 except for my first run, I’ve not noticed a difference in my HR, and definitely no jumping around. I do use a nylon strap so not sure if that has helped?

But as others have said, if you want an accurate HR then you’ll have to use a strap. This morning’s run is below, quite consistent with the inclines/declines - the dips are when we’ve stopped.
