Chronic Training Load (CTL) period: 6 or 8 weeks?
-
Sorry if this has been asked before…I’ve noticed that on explanation web pages for TSS metrics the CTL is “a 42-day weighted average of your TSS.” This is also the time interval stated on the watch (6 weeks) but in the “Progress” section of the app (the one with the graphs), on the right upper corner I can see “8 weeks”… Am I missing something?
Thanks! -
@fabula670 CTL is as you mention a 6 weeks weighted average of your TSS.
The “8 weeks” in the app just means that you have a view of how the CTL has evolved over the last 8 weeks. You can also change this to 8 or 13 months or even 8 years. So this is just an option for selecting how far back in time you want to see your CTL value.

I see… a bit confusing, imho, but I got it.
Thanks, Mads
Edit: I seem to remember that in the screenshot of the previous version of the app there’s “6 weeks” stated, isn’t it?
