@Roberto_m said in shortcuts: Introduce several shortcuts in two different ways: holding or doing double-click on the buttons. For istance, with the Garmin Fenix was really usefull to switch-on the Flashlight pressing two times the top-left button. Why we don´t have any shortcut on the SV (only one shortcut for the “setting-menu”)? That is something I also asked from the S9P times. Use it every time with Garmin. It’s annoying to not have it, specially for the airplane mode. @Brad_Olwin said in shortcuts: @Roberto_m Be patient:) We are getting good news! New algo, shortcuts…some annoying stuff getting solved, bravo!

@surfboomerang yes, it isn’t as good as the main widget. I hope in the future updates the possibility to add widgets as views to training mode is added. Or possibility to put training mode on background to access all the other options outside training mode.

@isazi yes. I think we mean the same. I only use manual waypoints when creating a route and rarely have TBT on. But I never used „official“ POIs. Maybe I should try it out once ️

@bruno-tanqueray said in Known and critical Bug: SV unresponsive: Hello, As many of us now have suffered the terrible bug of the SV which no longer restarts, I created a topic dedicated to this critical bug to share some new elements with the community. Fifteen days ago I sent my second SV to Suunto for repair because this one and like my first SV, it no longer restarted. The problem was more vicious because my first SV had experienced difficulties from my first swim at sea, the second waited several swims at sea and even a few freediving around 10m before dying… This time, the after-sales service repaired my watch (great, I might not have to reconfigure and download everything!) and sent me the following comments in the service note: “Dear Customer, I have examined your unit for the faults reported in the fault description and performed all the necessary tests. I discovered that the issue you have faced is caused by a known software bug. The issue was resolved when the unit power cycled. We are currently working on solving this issue and the problem should be fixed in the next software release. Best regards, Reima, Suunto Service Center.” What’s good is that the bug is known (some members of the community are also reporting it on S9PP) and will be fixed. But what to do while waiting for the next SV update? Suunto does not give me any recommendation or advice if the case happens again. I will receive my watch next Tuesday and will check if my software has been corrected, can I dream? In the meantime, I will mostly avoid sea swimming, SUP and freediving, as I’m a bit fed up with watch shipments to Finland. Regards Bruno If they don’t give you can indicator, you can open a dispute with your payment’s cashback service

@Lechamoix MIP pixels are always on, black or white doesn’t make a difference when it comes to power consumption.

@altcmd said in PLZ fix the Vertical…: André-Faria I am sure Suunto is trying but saying ‘if they are able to’ is rather defeatist. Hire the right people to push your software. And yes, I do want to believe what some testers are saying about how the new algos are working but the reality is my personal experience here matters and that will happen when there is an update. Let’s see! Which testers said that…

@zhang965 I wonder if it would be better if you were to stop for a few seconds or change directions. I think that there’s plenty of dead reckoning and other magic filtering going on in Sony’s GPS firmware. It seems to me that the firmware is somehow smoothing the direction error over time, which is apparent when moving constantly in non-ideal conditions (i.e. cycling in the forest). Perhaps in your case, the signal was too weak and since you were constantly doing the same loop and turning in the same direction, the smoothing error was overlaid on each loop.

@zhang965 said in Vertical crashed today after 1,9km Mountainbike: Yes, it’s what Suunto’s doing, they don’t make statement, but they let some unprofessional volontaires deal with you. It’s funny, because volontaires don’t mean unprofessional, but they deployed unprofessional volontaires. Welcome to Suunto Community

@altcmd said in Altimeter and compass calibrations: Brad_Olwin 20-30m variation at 250m altitude might be ok, but at near sea level, I am getting anywhere between -12 to +70 for similar locations. That’s a pretty wild variation given the base. And much of this calibration is not during activity - it’s from the normal watch mode and I don’t understand why the SV cannot get this right or about right? Again, my reference is Suunto’s competition and almost all of them have this going somewhat right but Suunto is in a league of its own making. Small frustrations, but these are adding up. I only run on flat ground, but I never get the similar altitude, the difference can up to 50%

@Danny-poleg You already asked this question here, https://forum.suunto.com/post/125166 Even if no official answer came, there seems to be some hint for you to test (if you want to test ) : reboot the watch which doesn’t charge as fast as the other, and check again. If you don’t want to test , don’t hesitate to send me two solar SV, I can try (joke mode ).
