@GiPFELKiND <nitpicking> it’s not RAM otherwise you would lose everything upon each reboots (soft restart) of the watch</nitpicking>

@tmuzar I often switch between watches for testing. If I don’t sync from one of the watches I am using that day for activity tracking I will lose it. I am on iOS and have noticed that I often have to open the app to make sure a sync happens for activity. This may be due to how iOS handles apps in the background, not sure.

@surfboomerang It is interesting to know if when the watch’s battery is over 95% then it really does not charge solar and does not show an indicator??

@zhang965 And how old you must be in order to have this value stable?

@Danny-poleg so the App on the phone should automatically update AGPS if not there. If you can try again tomorrow and see if it was just a glitch, or if the watch cannot get AGPS at all.

Everything you’re looking for is in the thread you’ve mentioned or it can be found with a search locking to avoid duplicates

@kurtpenter that sign means … no HR-sensor found (meaning the sensor is either (still) deactivated, not nearby … or no sensor has been paired) and the OHR of the watch is used. By the way: the use of the symbol is identical for more or less the last generations of Suuntos, including Suunto 5, 9 and Vertical

@linda-Parsons Have your tried a soft reset or a hard reset? This sounds quite odd.

@linda-Parsons Hi, turning off while charging was reported here it is a known issue I believe. Turning off while wearing it shouldn’t happen and it’s really not good, it seems like the unit could be faulty. I would: 1/ Try to do a hard reset on your watch 2/ Report the faulty unit and get a replacement

@jjorgemoura I also experienced similar behaviour on my brand new Vertical after ending an activity: unresponsive touchscreen and “ghost tap”. Everything returned to normal after a soft reset.

@neonix this is the electrical connection from the solar panel to the battery. I am closing this as it is a duplicate. Search is your friend.

@Egika Great overview. I was looking for something like this, but couldn’t find it. There should be such a topic in the user manual of every watch.

@isazi There are several types of products out there but this one has worked well for me. Bear in mind that the directions are in Japanese only. To do a deep cleaning of oils off a surface this stuff is amazing https://www.amazon.com/ROR-Residual-Oil-Remover-oz/dp/B00JMIFCJK I have used it on various optics that have gotten misted by oil and this strips it away. Using a cleaner like this ahead of the other gave me the absolute best results.

@twekkel that section is for feature requests for the app, not watches.

@Shuhite my top priorities are as follows: build quality battery life support/future proofing Apple has quality but a battery that will not cut it for me. Garmin always hides their newest features behind the next generation of hardware (Suunto rolls features out as long as the hardware supports it). The milivolt handshake signal from the 2nd pin. Add in water and salt and you got yourself an etching cell. To me that’s a deal breaker for Garmin. Can’t trust it won’t fail with how I use things. Don’t get me wrong I’m obsessed with music, go to 20+ concerts a year level of love for music but my phone is with me in all instances where I listen. Having it on the watch would be redundant in my case and wouldn’t have the ability to EQ like I could on a watch or dedicated mixer at home/office. Music off my watch would actually be a downgrade (support Lossless? FLAC?) compared to how I currently listen. I have a Swiss army knife, can open a box and has some scissors in there as well. It’s a bad choice for back country and wouldn’t trust it. I have a purpose built fixed blade for that. Same with my Vertical.
