@wmichi said in Well, I tried the Race.. and I think I’m selling the Vertical: @Sezer-Yiğit It’s the same for daily use and sport activities: If you don’t raise your wrist, the screen is in a dimmed state (always on mode enabled) or completely off when always on mode is off. In the dimmed state it’s difficult to read. But for sports like running this is not a problem, because you raise your wrist anyway when you look at the watch. I was going to buy the Race after seeing the Amoled screen but re-reading your posts, I think your experience is the best advice about why to stick with Vertical. I think the SV it’s the best watch of the market at this moment. In my case I bike and swim, but mostly run long distances. The SR is fine for even a 100 miler race but I think that the Race is specially good when you are only running. Many people say that Amoled technology is here to let die MIP but I’m not that sure. That wrist gesture is not only to save battery but to prevent Amoled panels from burning in a short time. And there’s the thing that MIP is better in many situations when multisport or direct sunlight or even when Amoled can be dangeours because of the wrist gesture. In the other hand the software of the SV still needs some fixes that the SR seems to have (sleep, naps, step counter). And both need at least the fixes about the multiple sensors of the same type, the wake up alarms for weekdays or improve the TBT notifications.

@Vertical_Blink If you already soft reset your watch, if you are seeing green fixed arrow before launching activity, if you see your position on the map during activity, but nothing about GPS track in Suuntoapp after, I can’t help more. Let’s wait for others.

Did you delete those ghost routes in the app while they were still toggled ON for the watch and THEN sync? If so, this has worked for me on other watches (A3P, SSU): Toggle the maximum number of your App’s routes (15) onto the watch and sync. Check to see that those ghosts have been overwritten. Toggle all the routes back OFF the watch and sync again. Check to see that the ghosts are gone. With the A3P this sometimes took a few attempts.

@mlakis how about adding a hole for a “leash” to protect from losing the watch in case the holder falls off the handlebar (I assume it will be fixed with a rubber band)?

@zucchero I don’t have a Race. But 24 mm should be no problem with the original spring bars.

@brabirl Suunto Vertical has a super low power MIP display that is always on. You can setup the cases, under which the background illumination comes on. The display itself only goes fully off when the watch is not worn or switched off.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Yup, this is what I referenced on the bottom of my first post as a ‘PS’ and why I called you out Either way, I’ll try to use my right hand more often for wearing the watch, even if I don’t understand why this would work better than wearing it on the left hand.

@jjpaz my comment was just to say that, while I do not know Suunto’s strategy nor I work there, I have seen the next testing firmware for S9PP, so I assume it will receive this update in the future.

@brabirl said in Change watch: Hello, thanks for the info. Can I transfer my activities to the new watch? Or does it start from zero with a new watch? Your training, TSS, CTL, TSB will transfer to the new watch as these are stored in the cloud. The training log, VO2Max, HRV, steps, calories will not transfer as these are watch-specific

Locking to avoid duplicates There are already a lot of discussions about vertical, battery and so on. Try with a search e.g https://forum.suunto.com/search?in=titlesposts&term=experience&matchWords=all&by=&categories[]=45&searchChildren=false&hasTags=&replies=&repliesFilter=atleast&timeFilter=newer&timeRange=&sortBy=relevance&sortDirection=desc&showAs=posts

@IvoStu check that you removed the association in the Vertical connexion menu (remove pairing with previous SA instance). check that your vertical is well in discovery mode = on
