@Francesco-Pagano I suspect recent Suunto App versions produce a notification when the watch gets in/out range

I’m experiencing the same issue over the last month or so. Has anyone at Suunto acknowledged this yet and provide a fix?

I had similar problem with with my 9PP running software version 2.48.16 and now after the upgrade to version 2.50.28 still: out of the blue the heart rate monitor LED lights stop working. Only after switching the watch off and on again, it reactivates. I want to track my sleep and HRV and the failure happens most often at night messing up the statistics. Anyone knows a sustainable solution? Much appreciated.

More than two years after the latest post (which wasn’t answered) I just had the same issue. Bought the S9PP end of last years as it was in sale and I thought meanwhile all SW Bugs should have been fixed. Send logs to Suunto. How to rely in that watch for things like Everesting? During the last three months three soft-resets were necessary. My son bought it about four weeks ago and in last week he deserted it four times. As said a few posts above: this is annoying

@mdavis121212 said in Using Suunto Progress: @Brad_Olwin Well I wanted to do Mt Rainer but that’s not going to happen at my age. lol. I want to go faster at Century rides. Why Not!!! I have skied Rainier but many, many years ago. I am nearly as old as you, 69. I have a 100 mile race with 23,000 feet vertical gain in June. I am not letting my age dictate what I can do. I would develop a good training plan for riding or get a coach if you need to. There is no reason you cannot build your fitness. So some good goals.

@Ecki-D. But to me, this is definitely a used battery issue, as if i switch on the watch for running, it will turn off instant.

Hi Hav you could fix your problem, either by resuming the downgrade again, or through upgrading to the latest sw version ? BR Jack

@Elipsus cannot speak for the service department, but if it just shut down from out of nowhere and the sensor stopped working that should be repairable.

Hi guys! I’m new here, made this forum just for this problem: Since the firmware update as you guys report 2.50.28 on my Race S I have big battery drain about 1% an hour even in airplane mode and the dumbest digital watch face. From some Chat GPT help I uninstalled offline maps, made a soft reset, factory reset, now I’m leaving it in airplane mode overnight to see. But it’s doesn’t look good, it already dropped from 74% at 18:45 to 71% 21:45.

@Elipsus when the watch connects / disconnects it will vibrate. But it shouldn’t do this outside of an activity. But there have been bugs about the whole connecting BT sensor thing…

@dbutkovic I have a S9PP. I’ve used a second one also. In my experience, although I really love everything else about the watch, it really struggles to maintain accurate heart rate readings when there is much arm movement. The only time I get consistently accurate readings is on a bike trainer or road bike. To manage this, I now use an optical HR arm band that pairs with the watch and works really well. Some people likely get better results with the watch than me. You probably already know all the optimization tips: wear it 2 cm above the wrist bone, make sure it is very snug etc. There are other posts talking about how to optimize OHR.
