I have issues with HRV measurements. It started with the faulty update in 2024. I downgraded the firmware, but it didn’t really help. I was hoping the issue would be fixed with the newest update, but it wasn’t. The current firmware version: 2.40.38 [image: 1743680124920-1000057945.png] After the firmware update, I reset the watch to factory settings, but this didn’t help either. Any suggestions?

Price of the 9PP is again down to 299€ on the austrian/german webshop. Strange price hopping, maybe they increased it before to have the posiibility to discount for Black Friday. Wouldn’t be an uncommon practice

@suzzlo There might be some ‘fine-tuning’ needed in the algos as well. I too can confirm that the OHR on the SV while biking (even easy commute without much grip or bouncing gives too low HR, while AW8 is spot on). While running if you ignore the fact that in the beginning of a run it always locks to the cadence (always been the case since Spartan) it usually is much closer to AW or strap (then again I never run without a strap but did a couple of easy runs to test).

@Ultrawalker Yes, the non sapphire version. I read a few reviews and that wrote that the glass of the Fenix7 silver edition was already of very good quality and that paying for just the sapphire glasses wasn’t needed. Time will tell… The glass of my Ambit2 wasn’t t sapphire glass too and has no scratch at all.

Hi, An update about storage space on the S9PP after I’ve continued to use my watch as I get back to running. The original estimate I gave was too low - I forgot that the watch firmware updated after I used it for the first time and this is why the first activity showed summary data only (not because it had been overwritten). My watch has just now overwritten (graphs/tables no longer available) the first activity I recorded after the firmware update. I had the following stored in the watch: 90.4hrs running in endurance mode - with power but no HR. 19.2hrs running in performance mode - power and HR data (Polar Verity Sense - I assume the same/very similar contribution to file size to the watch OHR but less than a belt because r-r interval data isn’t recorded). 7hrs walking in performance mode - HR data (watch sensor). A total of about 117hrs of mixed use. From this I’d estimate at least 120hrs of activity storage space if recording in endurance mode without HR data. All of the above assumes that the presence/absence of graphs and tables in the watch file still indicates that it does/doesn’t remain in the watch memory. Hope this is useful to anyone else looking to record continuous multi-day activities.

Got this problem just now, after a short ride I do on daily base. S9PP. No changes in configuration. Did not answer the “Feeling” question. Latest softwareupdate installed. It is circling since about 50 minutes now. How could I provide more details about the issue? Is there a log in the watch? I am a software developer, maybe I could attach some debugger? Interesting fact! The watch is still receiving notifications while showing the saving circle. And I can press the <empty> button.

Personally I’d be in favour of the ‘gathering’ suggestion where in the SA you could pull multiple activities into a group and see an overview of them as a whole. You could add in info such as the gap time/distance between the activities so you could see how long you spent between them and even throw in info such as time sleeping and HRV etc. This would work in loads of situations from multi-day ultras to 24 hour loop events such as Equinox24. If, in the watch activity setup you had the option to flag the activity as part of a set then SA could also hold off on exporting the activities to 3rd parties and give you the option to export as a single activity or the separate activities after you are finished. I think this is a more flexible and safer approach than a simple ‘resume’ option. It could also support mixed activities such as a mix of road and trail running (or cycling) or your traditional triathlon style events but where they are not contiguous (such as the Long Course Weekend events).

@alschmid we’ll see how the interface evolves. It’s still quite young.

Being able to match a Profile to your Activity for the Barometer & Altimeter measurement would be great. I was available on the SA3Peak. (Below from the Manual) 3.3.2. Matching profile to activity The Altimeter profile should be selected when your outdoor activity involves changes in altitude (e.g. hiking in hilly terrain). The Barometer profile should be selected when your outdoor activity does not involve changes in altitude (e.g. soccer, sailing, canoeing). To get correct readings, you need to match the profile to your activity. You can either let Suunto Ambit3 Peak decide a suitable profile for the activity, or choose a profile yourself. With the 9PP, I am constantly adjusting my altitude and immediately after manually setting it, it adjusts itself, and I havent moved If your sailing, knowing accurate atms. pressure readings is vital, similarly, when trail running, knowing accurate elevation is an important safety factor. Please bring back the Activity Profile

Hello, New pro peak, latest software installed, several runs no vo2 max, no fitness level. Support says to send it back for a check, but it looks like the software has a problem. Have any improvements been made recently?
