Thanks! Done. You would think a Finnish manufacturer would get this setup out of the box… Polar has every type of ski activity defined in their basic setup. Let it snow!

Before the update in July, it registered too many steps. But now it registers too few! When I get up from the couch and go to the kitchen and back, it doesn’t register any steps. Please adjust the settings again!

@sartoric said in discrepancy between the clock and the app: Well, the switch between ds and st Is conventionally set at 2:00 am Did you manually switch the watch time ? I didn’t adjust it manually. I believe that the phone updated an hour ahead of the clock, as the discrepancy lasted only an hour and was resolved without any manual intervention.

@surfboomerang said in Where's that temp sensor?: @dave660281 ambient, but influenced by body temp once, with my old Vector I calculated that the temperature shown by the watch was about the average between ambient and body temperatures, so T_amb = 2 x T_watch - 37°

I would also like to adjust it to 1 hour (or anything else). 2 hours is too long. This request applies to all Suunto watches with the feature available.

@enriqueescoms said in How to reduce my battery consumption?: HR tracking and with high brightness turn on (when raising the wrist, the high intensity backlight is activated). I imagine and suspect that this raise/turn on will be the main cause My inital thoughts as well. Could you try disabeling the raise to wake option, set backlight level to low and disable standby backlight? Just to see if this reduces the battery drain.

@SXCohen Got an official answer from Suunto; just in case someone else’s interested here it is : "I am sorry to inform you that the Freediving mode and Mermaid features are not currently available in the Suunto app, but they are accessible on the watch itself. Additionally, I want to let you know that you can view the depth data while diving by selecting the specific mode on the watch interface. " I’d like to push to get an update on the App (and if necesssary on the watch’s firmware) so that becomes possible.

I went form Spartan Wrist HR to S9PP last August. Compared to the Spartan, the S9PP counted more steps, but it looked still okay until round November update when it started to get ridicioulouse high counts of 14-16000 Steps on a normal day. Even things like brushing teeth or moving the mouse where counted. Now it looks back to normal again. I didn’t change my routine, go running twice a week, ride my bike several times a week, go for hikes. Distance remained the same but steps in relative where much to high. The green bars are the duration down below - black are the steps. 2023 with the Spartan looks okay, with the S9PP it gets to high and even higher since November 2023. When the black line is much higher than the green bar it seems that something is wrong. Steps fixed after the last update: [image: 1726575190882-img_7969.png] Switched from Spartan to S9PP in August [image: 1726575279974-img_7992.png] Update in November [image: 1726575247526-img_7993.png] Values from the Spartan till August (did many hikes in May in Südtirol) [image: 1726575375476-img_7989.png] Values going up after Update in November and are back to normal since last update. @brucey09 as Isazi wrote, starting an activity is not part of the customization. A short press on the top button will always start the previous activity type. This cannot be changed. Buttom button cannot be assigned to any sport mode. This has not changed with any update so far. What you possibly mean is pressing and holding the upper button during an ongoing activity. This will allow to change to a different sport (multisport) and list the most recently used activities.

@Bradleyd the person I’m referring to decided to replace the watch as it was brand new, straight out of the box. It was updated to the recent firmware, soft and hard reset, SA with the newest version. Still no luck, always N/A in AGPS.
