@herlas You can’t turn the automatic off on Suunto Vertical. So if you manually lap do you get autolaps and manual laps recorded. I have the same issue that brief rests/turns are added to my speed and this adds up over the workout to reduced pace. I’d just like to see my pace more accurately.

Yes, agree with the above comment. Just add in a data field that shows speed and that will show what you are asking for

I have the problem, that the suunto app is not syncing any steps apple, it worked for two days, since then no sync. I already tried to delete and relink the apps. didin’t help. The Settings should be correct (see screenshorts) Using Iphone 12pro on newest iOS and Sunnto 9 and App are also on the newest version.[image: 1707726683340-photo_2024-02-12_09-30-15.jpg] [image: 1707726683354-photo_2024-02-12_09-30-14.jpg] [image: 1707726683371-photo_2024-02-12_09-30-13.jpg] [image: 1707726683379-photo_2024-02-12_09-30-10.jpg]

@Alex-Gascón Good to know!! My recommendation is: DO NOT sync your watch actively just before your GPS activity, if you have to do it, do it at least 20/30 minutes before. Let me explain: If for some reason the app/watch sends the AGPS just before the activity the AGPS file needs to be deployed and you won’t get GPS lock easily, you will have to wait at least the 15 minutes that are needed to install the AGPS. If you do a soft reset the AGPS will be deleted as well and will need to be installed again. In my experience if your watch and phone are connected (SA app running in the background, BT on the phone always on) you shouldn’t have any problem and you shouldn’t notice long GPS lock times.

@Someguy22 unfortunately some apps are not compatible with S9 Peak and older watches. Currently there is no weather S+ for your watch.

I’m curious, why doesn’t FusedAlti correct @snafflehound ’s altitude issue? At least at the end of the activity? I have had a similar issue ski touring (suspect it is due to interaction with my clothing), but I thought it might get adjusted by FusedAlti. Also, I assume there is no way to turn off the barometric altitude and just use GPS? How much more accurate is the barometric altitude vs the GPS altitude? Or maybe it depends on many factors…

@Petri-Väisänen said in Zwift for cycling: @Mads-Hintz-Madsen thank you for this suggestion, I’m going to try this. Have you seen any connection issues with Zwift and indoor trainer having a watch recording the ride? I think it’s basically broadcasting only so I wouldn’t expect any issues there? Hi Petri! I have not had any connection issues. As you said the watch just records the broadcasted signal from the indoor trainer which doesn’t affect the Zwift connection. But there is one issue that one could face is if you want to use Bluetooth to connect the trainer to Zwift and the watch. If the trainer only supports 1 Bluetooth connection then this won’t work as you need two Bluetooth connections (1 for Zwift and 1 for the watch). My Wahoo Kicker supports 2 (or is it even 3?) Bluetooth connections so I have no issue with using a full Bluetooth setup. One workaround is to use ANT+ connection from the trainer to the computer running Zwift and use Bluetooth from the trainer to the watch. This is in fact the setup I normally use.

@hardcoresinceeightyfour I also wish various features would be “exercise only”, with raise-to-wake being one of them.

@Tieutieu this is true for vertical and peak pro i think it’s a simple and useful function to put in watch and if is necessary activate it… Not big thing… older watches like ambit series exist the lock button.

@Tieutieu support for multiple sensors of the same kind for example. It’s so inconvenient having to unpair and pair sensors every time when using multiple hr sensors

@Egika true, but I still think it needs some more polishing, check my post https://forum.suunto.com/topic/9710/4-79-x/26?_=1702303509163 I can post more of this (for me) contradictive info. Maybe it’s just not clear enough for us non-native English speakers?

@Bitstreams, if you have enabled Activity 24/7 wrist HR tracking and toggle the general setting for Power Saving On and Off, you may be hitting a settings bug where the wrist HR lighting is on at the same time power saving is on. This will definitely consume some extra battery over a week. For me, the scenario is: 24/7 wrist HR tracking ON Power Saving ON start a training exercise using HR belt with wrist HR disabled On completion of training and return to clock mode, view backside of watch to see wrist HR lights flickering If I go to Settings/General after 4) and turn off Power Saving, wrist HR will then be recorded, turning Power Saving back on will stop the flickering. If I don’t change the Power Saving setting, the wrist HR lights will continue flickering, but the HR value is not recorded in the HR widget time series nor will it be shared to SA daily summary. Agree with @inkognito that the screen backlight is a more likely culprit for a faster discharge, but an increase to 5 to 10% battery consumption per day may just be the wrist HR unexpectedly running.
