I’m new in the Suunto World. I know it has been requested multiple times: why is there still no way to lock the screen in Watch Mode?

I just came from a run with a jacket on. After ending the workout the watch (touch screen) takes input from the sweaty jacket. I don’t want to wait until the screen locked by itself, until I can put the sleeve from the jacket down again. Just let me lock it the same way as in workout mode and put the restart on long-press upper button. The oldest request I saw searching this topic is from 2019 and it has been requested on Reddit too. I’m confused, that it is not implemented jet.

if you observe what Suunto has developed in the last couple of years, the lock is simply too simple 😉
and also with S9P the buttons are much less likely to get pressed unintendedly compared to S9B (but also less easy to press with gloves…) what makes the lock unnecessary. regarding drops on the screen after an activity, before touch gets deactivated, I personally (!) ask for it, but it seems to be an extremely rare case…
