Lock Screen in Watch Mode
-
@HurricaneWeasel
I would pay extra for that damn lock button! -
@freeheeler so simple function… it’s insane
… -
@gerasimos
if you observe what Suunto has developed in the last couple of years, the lock is simply too simple
and also with S9P the buttons are much less likely to get pressed unintendedly compared to S9B (but also less easy to press with gloves…) what makes the lock unnecessary. regarding drops on the screen after an activity, before touch gets deactivated, I personally (!) ask for it, but it seems to be an extremely rare case… -
Wonder if anyone got an update on this - wear my watch (Race) on my left arm, and buttons/crown are constantly being activated.
Such a basic thing, wondering why this is not being updated️ -
@Peaks-and-Summits vertical also… suunto 9 etch
2024 and no lock button. -
But in watch mode the watch get locked automatically after a minute ! Why a button needed ?
-
@Tieutieu for many basic reasons…
wear gloves…or a jacket…its very sensitive to accidentally pressesjust for fun :

@gerasimos you’re right it was also a problem for me on my S9b ambassador edition on which buttons were very big.
But on S9p, S9pp and vertical, there is less much chances to accidentally push buttons. -
Interestingly, even though I fully support the idea, recently, I did not lock the screen (by mistake) during a skiing activity (the S9B under several layers of sleeves) and the watch performed (to my surprise) without any problem. So, maybe, it is not that big of a problem.

@Tieutieu this is true for vertical and peak pro
i think it’s a simple and useful function to put in watch and if is necessary activate it…
Not big thing… older watches like ambit series exist the lock button. -
