@DMytro but why some people got it doing just a first run? As far as it is more than 15’ for some people works and others like me nothing.

@Egika Thanks! This can be a very reasonable explanation. The only thing is that this has happened before (the battery to be empty for several days - weeks) and then recharged (started charing immediately) without any issues and delays. But nicely it is working properly now! Yiannis.

@zucchero said in Open water swimming mode customization – swim distance always zero and no temperature: @isazi Issue solved. See above. User error. When I start an activity like my swim without a GPS signal and, if the watch gets a GPS signal a few minutes later, does it then track the distance? It should do so

@vavvi I think it’s mentioned elsewhere: disabling media controls in the last-edited sport mode can override the Control Panel and stick until re-enabled in a sports mode. (Similar to the BT/wifi/Airplane Mode issue.) Works that way on my Vertical: perhaps try on your watch?

@JDTaylor Has the battery completely run out? If not let the watch battery run completely out. Then charge and turn the watch back on. Hopefully the watch will restore to the prior firmware. If not, it needs to be sent in for service.

Same issues here with a few exercises (walking, swimming,…). Forgetting to stop the watch and driving home. Why isn’t it possible to change an exercise? Suunto, please? Why isn’t it possible to set the endpoint simply back to the point you’ve finished the exercise? Erase the rounds that aren’t counting? Something I will definitely pay attention to once my suunto needs to be replaced with a new purchase…

I’ve looked at adjusting TP zones in the past. I’ve generally been using 80/20 zones for Hr, Pace, and Power in TP because I train with 80/20 Endurance training plans. Those zones actually have 7 different values. Fortunately, when TP sends the structured workouts to Suunto it is by value rather than by zone. I also use TSS( p ) by default in TP. Values match well for me.

@Mff73 it should be already back to normal, but I doubt that activities that ended up in the period of low TSS will be automatically recomputed.

@imperial001 Endurance mode on Vertical is better than the 9 Peak on performance mode. The Vertical has extra storage for recording because of chip for map storage. Shouldn’t be a problem for your races. The memory of 9 peak hard to assess as HR takes up space and more space with higher intensity. A general guide is the watch will safely store #of hours that battery will last in the chosen mode.

@freeheeler I can answer that, it’s called drill mode, once you enable it, you get another screen where every time you reach the end of pool, you manually press a button to add 25 meters and so forth. Once you’re done with legs only or any other type of technique specific swim where hands don’t move at all, you disable it, you’re back to your normal swim screen. The distance swam under this mode gets appended to your total distance of that swim session. This feature has been missing pretty much since the S line of Suunto watches. However it’s a core feature of any swim training, most pool swimmers won’t skip this, only the Suunto watches do
