Hello, recently I’ve been on a trip to the sea where i was turning on a mode for open swimming, and later that day i noticed the watch has shutdown on its own. When i turned it back on i realized the battery percentage has dropped significantly. The watch would turn off on its own a couple times and then it would stop. I figured it was a software error, and didnt give it much though after reading some posts on here what could it be. But after literally a day or two i noticed significant drops in battery again, much more than before. It barely lasts a day now, and the drops are so random. I am clueless on what to do here as the watch is completely unusable… Tried soft restarting, but it didn’t do much… Any help would be appreciated.

          Hi,

I’ve been struggling with a battery issue for at least 6 months, since the last software update. I think I found the problem and a solution.

Suunto support has been clueless and just says to send it in for repair.

When I put my watch on charge, when the watch thinks it’s at 100% it stops charging. Then I shutdown the watch and turn it back on. Then it will charge more. Keep doing that until it’s close to 100%.

My watch used to die in a single day just wearing it normally. Now it lasts a week with FC on and all the normal features.

I believe the battery life calibration goes out of whack if the software updates happen when the watch is not 100% and plugged in. And unfortunately Suunto support doesn’t know how to help us.
