The slow start is due to loading the activity screens. There was always this issue especially when switching activity types. The timer should though count correct. Regarding the GPS logging typically around second 1-10 it logs the first sample and that depends on the quality and speed. I hope it helps.

@chris-white I’d also keep an eye on FB Marketplace to make sure your S9P finder doesn’t try and sell it there. There’s one for sell on there right now. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/917113989232500/

@flypg and it’s similar with the kids… we tell them every year: kid’s, be aware, you are writing a wish list not an order list

Thanks all! I have to wait until Monday to talk to customer service and order cannot be cancelled. I just need to buy a strap separately

@ramrod Garmin Fenix (and a lot of other models) have a Breathwork activity, which includes around 5 different exercises. The exercises are guided by vibration (only issue is that sometimes you can barely feel it, as they alter the vibration depending on whether its an inhale, exhale or hold). The range from 5mins to 16mins; only pity is that you cannot create your own plan and sync it. Measures Stress (HRV) impact, respiration rate (not sure why as not your normal rate, but useful to see if you are syncing correctly according to the planned breath rate, stress, and HR (SPO2 isn’t recorded - as per other comments - though I suppose you could take a manual reading prior and post activity). If your stress gets too high you will get a notification and suggestion to run a breathwork activity. Personally I tend to run them prior to bed, as do find it reduces my time to fall asleep, and also have better stress levels during my sleep.

Depending on your surrounding (tall buildings, trees, mountains, etc.) and the weather (clouds, rain, snow), GPS accuracy may be really good or just terrible and useless. That’s in the nature of GPS (and GNSS in general). Generally, I found S9P to be pretty good and accurate. But you can’t expect 100% accuracy - and any model or make. If you don’t use navigation, the Snap-to-Route feature can probably help. It should give nearly perfect GPS data. I haven’t tested that myself, though. A jacket shouldn’t do much harm… unless you’re wearing a radiation suite :'-D

google tells me that DST in US is from March 14 2am to November 7 2am so we have another week in the states with savings time on. Another reason for DST to be abolished…everyone has a different date range that it is active for…

@df130 @inkognito That sounds similar to what I am experiencing and yes autolap is off. Default settings for “basic” activity. No heart rate zone target chosen. I can’t find anywhere that says what the watch is trying to tell me.

@lexterm77 I did that when I broke my elbow and had my left arm in a cast for 7 weeks… I still did not got used to it… It’s now >2 years that I own the S9B and I recall that I’ve asked for a lock button in watch mode pretty soon. It’s amazing what has been developed, improved and implemented in that time. Really interesting, useful and demanding stuff (to develop)… but no lock button …sorry, I unintendedly hijacked this thread!

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Do you know why?. During this periods freezes also PTE number and SP Burner drops to 0 g/h for both fat and carbs consumption.

@jmoneygrip exactly why I do not pay attention to VO2Max. Do a test if you need one, otherwise I would ignore the number.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos it’s never been off so much before. The GPX file in the app & on the watch show less than 3000ft ascent, not 4400. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0Lj12n34sb6URoXWL108SIkog

@tonyg not realted to burner. Just your belt stops broadasting RR / HRV and switches to normal HR.

@sartoric I created a custom Run profile and didn’t realize I needed to add the interval screen. Problem solved - thank you.
