@magoo https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6324/update-went-wrong?_=1618977336226 no solution yet, as it appears… unless factory reset which most of us do not favour as the first thing to do

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I’ll try a bit more just to be sure it’s not me, but find it very strange that it suddenly won’t find GPS. Is there any way to force install the latest update again to see if it was a faulty installation? Could it be water in the baro-holes making it act up? Seeing very strange altitudes. I get 3818 meters now when I’m at 215 meters. Don’t want to bother Suunto sending it in if it’s not a faulty watch

@mattyross As a general rule i find that in my normal/working day I do between 1000 to 1500 steps. Pushing a pram or anything else where you are holding your arm out will reduce your step count. i assume you have upated your profile in the suunto app on your watch, as that can also impact on calories and steps.

Agree. Most of mine are walking or paddling, so nothing major speed wise - usually under 6km/hr. And yes occasionally you hit the odd bump/hiccup, but generally find the track is easily within the river/canal while paddling, and while the walking track my wander slightly from side to side on the road, it virtually always gets it right. I occasionally get the odd bump /hiccup - maybe one in 5/6 tracked activities. Don’t foget that GPS fixes are normally only accurate to around 5m - so even with great fix to numerous satellites, still not going to be perfect.

@daniele-falco ho letto su internet che per avere le notifiche da iPhone devi abilitare le notifiche sul lock screen. Qui: https://support.google.com/wearos/thread/208783?hl=en

The mad thing here is that you can not disable the tilt-to-wake funtion on battery saver mode. So if you change to that mode at night, you will not sleep if you move a lot in the bed.

@suuntoman I really hope Google gets their act together with google fit. It really is terrible in my opinion. Another weird one is if an app pushes an activity to google fit, then only that app can remove it. So if you have workouts from an app you no longer have installed, there is no way to remove that activity from google fit. I’m really glad the S7 syncs all the metrics to the Suunto app (steps, and soon sleep and hr). No need to have Google Fit on my phone anymore.

Thanks for the help! I guess they’re a part of wear os. They don’t take that much room so no point in removing them, I was just wondering what they were.

@kripar Same situation occurs with swimming. Swimming with breast stroke gives a stable and accurate HR. Crawl and butterfly stroke makes the HR go down, so usually at the end of 100m crawl screen shows me 70 pulse instead of 150-160. And only after a minute or so HR starts to go up. I prefer to swim with breast stroke now to control ny HR zones))

@nigel-taylor-0 Thx, yes, exactly, exist multiples approaches for the same, I tried to avoid them to have the correct track directly out from the watch

After update of Google play app there is no longer possible to install apk on WearOs if that apk wasn’t installed on phone from Google Play itself (like xdrip). Here is a nice workaround: https://www.xda-developers.com/wear-installer-sideload-wear-os-apps/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+xda-developers%2FShsH+(xda-developers)

@hqvkamil they are both S7, but agree I prefer the flanges as not only provides protection (as I have already discovered) but also just helps it look really nice.
