@Jaakers difference is also with wwhich service you upload to SA. I moved from runylyze to MyTourbook as if I upload .fit file from MyWhoosh via runalyze I don’t get HR graph and very big TSS calculation. If I upload via MyTourbook, there is atleast HR graph. I’m missing power in both, but that is probably some change on Suunto side as activities till beginning of November include power data (but no power graph) and TSS calculation is ok.

@sartoric no, I don’t know the system, just what updating a good developed system requires. I have the impression that this is not the case.

@NicolasP yes that is correct. Its just that on each platform each feature is more / less diffucult to implement or each platform needs another extra thing to align.

@isazi, yeah, if it’s not accessible it could be a problem . But I’m pretty sure that additional verification can be made in source portal. It’s rather logical - if something is private, I don’t want to share with other portals also.

@Pierre-L said 3°) For me, the ascent or descent data are the basic data of an activity I find it inconceivable that there is no way to add them. Moreover, sometimes these data recorded by the watch are unreliable and we don’t even have the possibility to edit/correct them in SA, which is also unbelievable for me. Exceptional explanation! A change in this sense is also essential for me

My comment was a bit snarky, but totally a joke, not meant to offend. In all seriousness, yea it’d be nice to see your exact watch. But in the grand scheme of the entire Suunto platform right now, I’d prefer to see it all work and be full featured on the functionality front. And it’s FAR from it at this point.

@seanvk The two apps have always been different. There are some things easier to implement in one OS vs. the other.

@flypg you can do that (select a lang internally) but that can result to a mess if especially you use unit conversions etc We will be going with the official support of the Android AFAIK

@Eugene-Benkovskiy said in Heart rate variability: For me, it was a little bit strange not to find a described feature on the site in the Suunto app (it’s really missing). So, after some time of searching, I decided to ask the community about it. Sorry if I sounded somewhat crumpy, wasn’t my intention. R-R in the watch spec isn’t wrong, Suunto watches indeed record R-R intervals and also pass those along. And in a way Movescount and Suunto App are providing the same lavel of R-R support, meaning that there’s no (valid) metric or chart, but both Movescount and Suunto App actually provide access to this data through activity export and sync, so you can still go through some HRV analysis with 3rd party tools (like Kubios) and services (like Runalyze). That said, R-R samples collected during physical activity are not considered to be very useful, there are just too many variables. For analysing trends and current condition, measurements are usually taken at the same time of the day, when rested and without any external stressors.

@Matthieu-Fou said in Routes list - Accordion or search: Hello all, @vinc14 said in Routes list - Accordion or search: this function would be for the watch? because the app has to sort nearest distance to you! when listing all these sorting options, I was thinking about the app only. The watch can only store a limited number of routes, and for me it’s fine on the watch as-is. Exactly my point @Brad_Olwin The issue comes from my usage of routes. Unlike you, most of my routes (if not all) start in the street where I live. The “nearest route” sorting criteria becomes useless in this situation. Moreover, I sometimes have to edit routes since the autumn rainfalls change some paths to brooks in the countryside around me, so I have “summer” and “winter” (well dry/wet) versions of my routes . The Suunto app is fine, but I prefer a big screen and a mouse to edit GPX files, then import these into the app. The “issue” with doing this is that it resets the “creation date” value and a route I’ve been running for years can appear as created “2 weeks ago” (hence not a good sorting criteria either) I use a Mac and an iPad (preferred) or a large Mac display to create routes. Problem solved. Again, I think that is plenty of flexibility. Theoretically yes, but in practice, the only sorting criteria left is the route name (which works fine but “could be improved”, see my post above) I only use routes when I plan somewhere off trail or somewhere I am not familiar with. I use routes often for ski touring as I have winter routes that differ from trail approaches. On my side, I use routes almost everytime I run/ride, mostly because I want to ensure : I’ll avoid dangerous spots / roads I’ll run/ride as planned : if I miss a turn I could add/skip some km If you have been running/riding a route for years I guess I am still confused. Routes I commonly run I do not use as routes, they don’t change. I would argue that editing your routes solves a problem, by creation date will give you the new edited route, or you could incorporate time of year in the title. Search in iOS is quite flexible and compound searches work. The routing capabilities are one of the reasons I bought the Suunto Race (and I’m very happy I did it !) In reality how many routes do you need? I could delete a lot of mine and re-create some that I do not use often. in the watch : since it’s just a matter of toggling the “Use in watch” option of the app and let the BT send data to the watch, this is no big deal and it’s fine as-is. Having numerous routes on the watch would be useless, IMHO, and require advanced sorting on the watch (which is not my point) in the app : since it’s just a matter of storing GPX data in a GB-storage device, it don’t think setting a maximum number is relevant. So far, I have 24 routes stored in the app, I think I hardly could hit above 30. I see no real “lack of functionality” (nor “bug”) as for routes management in the Suunto App, my point is rather about GUI improvements : finding anything in a few clicks rather than a longer (boring!) scroll. I have more than 30 routes with many starting from work. I guess we differ in opinion as I do not have issues finding routes.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos @sartoric thank you guys. For me Suunto doesn’t have competition in sport monitoring. You can have data of near all and based on a lot of sport types. Adding few features like that in the SA (basicaly show more data already known by Suunto) could be a powerful entry level to the daily activity bands market, and a dangerous alternative too, for people who at this point doesn’t plan to buy a Suunto watch.
