For the last few days I’ve been researching Suunto versus some other companies. I decided to order a Race S but disappointed that it will not write Sleep to Apple Health. Additionally, I’d like it to write blood oxygen, respiratory rate, resting heart rate and HRV. The included screenshot is a chart I made comparing what other companies do in this area. This does not include all categories, as for example everyone does “steps” but I don’t care about that so left it off and some do “height” and “weight” etc.

My situation is I have an Apple Watch Series 7 that is starting to get worse with the battery (can only hold maximum 77%) and while I like the Apple Watch rather than replacing it with a new one I wanted to supplement it with a second device. My hope was to only wear the Suunto to sleep so the Apple Watch could be on the charger all night, then use both strategically throughout the day. I need to figure out a new strategy. Fortunately for Suunto, other options also suffered in one way or another and overall there were things from Suunto I wanted to explore like ZoneSense. I do hope Suunto improves export of data to the Apple Health system in the future.
