Well I did a soft reset of the watch and now it’s available again, strange but it works again fortunately.

@Egika what we need is an accountconnection between concept2 and Suunto for REAL measuring as same as running.

@Egika Indeed, good news! However, Suunto’s auto-reverse feature is notoriously glitchy as has been discussed on this forum (here and others). This is especially true if your route is an out-and-back or includes any crossover sections or intersections. I wonder if this has been addressed? Unfortunately, I won’t be able to test as I do not have a newer device.

@Egika That would be possible if the coordinates of the POI are known. The problems is that the only value for POI seems to be the distance. (/Navigation/Poi/Active/Distance) Target location (/Navigation/Targetlocation/Distance and /Navigation/Targetlocation/Coordinates) does seem to provide this information but when you select a POI the target location remains empty.

@Efejota said in Offline Maps and Routing in Suunto App: Offline apparently requires that the watch has been paired (previously?) I just tried this since I was wondering the same thing (I have two phones that I switch between, one running old SA software and one with the new offline map option). So it will work, but the key is to remove the pairing from the watch only (Settings > Connectivity > Paired devices > MobileApp > Forget). This will keep the watch associated with the device you are moving away from and thus keep the offline maps as available option. However, if you remove the watch from the app by using the “Manage connection” option, offline maps disappear. I assume this will work for a tablet running SA as well.

Good morning, I finally confirm that with the V update. 2.53.42, the Outback Adventure dial, is also available again for the 90th Anniversary. Thank you Suunto for fixing this bug.

Hi everyone, I have a quick question regarding BLE connectivity that might save me (and hopefully others) some time and unnecessary experimentation. I’m currently working on a small add-on that retrieves and displays data from an external third-party device via BLE. Thanks to the documentation, I’ve already built a basic prototype that proves the core concept works. However, I’ve hit a roadblock: the external device requires a PIN to establish a secure Bluetooth connection. When testing with devices that don’t require a PIN, the connection works flawlessly. My issue is that I cannot find any mention in the documentation on how to explicitly handle PIN entry during the pairing process. Does the current Suunto SDK support manual PIN entry pairing? If so, could someone point me toward the right methods or a code snippet? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

@Stavrogin Same here, I’ve recently moved to a Coros Apex 4 and have never looked back. For the first time in a very long (Suunto) time, I’m very happy with my watch now. Also, in contrast to Suunto, Coros was able to fix a reported bug within a very short time and communication with them was outstanding. At some point in the past, Suunto started shipping extremely buggy software with their (new) watches. And even years after the release of a new model and after many, many public reports, some severe issues are not fixed. My (in the meantime sold) S9P was okayish in terms of bugs, but there were some and Suunto never cared much to fix them. Instead, they released on new watch after the other - each buggier than the last one. And now that Suunto has decided to move away from MIP displays - while at the same time - proper and truly useful AOD for maps is not available on their latest models, it was just time for a change. And I’m very happy with the Apex 4. Maps are incredibly detailed and by far the best on the market.

@dladers said in POI GEO - alternative methods of input: Is it possible to add manual POI recording on the app to them add to the watch. Manual POI like Lat, Long ? Or what3words. Addresses and any other method. Using the map to select a point is fine but unless I have Missed a step I can’t see a way to add a POI other than this. Yup: one more step. Tap anywhere on the map and then on the “Flag+” icon (top right of lower panel) to create a POI - as you know. Then tap the Edit (“Pencil”) icon (top right of new lower panel) - enter desired Lat/Long coordinates, Name, etc. Only Lat/Long, currently - vote here for possible improvement,

@Egika said in Suunto Vertical 2 General Discussion: @maszop said in Suunto Vertical 2 General Discussion: Is it possible to disable touch from the map view during an activity in the Suunto Vertical 2? In the Vertical 1, this is in custom battery mode, which Suunto removed in the new version of the Vertical. Touchscreen is very annoying and unusable in rainy weather. this is implemented with current FW 2.53.42 as of today Great Amazing update again!
