Ability to enable sound notifications only for training.
Sound alerts for phone notifications are often annoying, while audible alerts during training are useful.
For example, exceeding training thresholds in a TrainingPeaks workout, the end of an interval, or a pace slower than the set target.

That would be great. This is also a setting that I feel is missing from the watch. In everyday life, I don’t need any alert tones on the watch. During training, however, they are very helpful, as vibration alone is sometimes not enough to be felt during intense interval sessions.

I changed the title to “Ability to Enable Sound Notifications Only for Training and Alarms.”

It would be useful if notification sounds could also be enabled for the countdown timer even when notification sounds are turned off (e.g., alarm clock).

Last-minute note:

Within the workout settings there are two options:

Do Not Disturb
Notifications → Disable notifications

To avoid receiving phone notifications during training, I selected “Do Not Disturb.” However, this option also disables vibration and timer alerts (e.g., gym timer).

In addition, these settings are global and not limited to the current workout session.

In my view, this logic is not optimal. “Do Not Disturb” should suppress elements that interfere with training, not alerts that actively support the session.

I therefore suggest that:

“Do Not Disturb” should apply only to phone notifications.
It should be session-specific, affecting only the ongoing workout.
Once the workout ends, phone notifications should automatically be restored.

this is implemented with current FW 2.53.42 as of today
You can set notifications from phone or from watch individually per sport and select sound and/or vibration.
