@David-l You can turn just the buttons off, I don’t like the buttons reacting anyway so I have both tones and vibration for buttons off.

@mikekoski490 said in running estimate: @David-l Hmmm…well, Ive decided to just sort of ignore that particular data for now until I hear there is a fix. It’s middle of winter and cold/rainy here anyhow. Since Im not running/riding a ton yet, this info isnt crucial (yet). Not running? Mate that’s not good for the soul!

@logger i really don’t understand this. Having to turn off notifications every time you do an activity is just bad design. This is a super basic feature that every other watch company has. Suunto could probably implement it in a few hours as. I really don’t like notifications during activities. But I like them otherwise. And I don’t want to have to go back and forth all the time. It’s nothing like having to start an activity

By the time it comes we will be very happy for it. I’m betting on bug corrections, software improvements and, just to keep life interesting, one or two new bugs!!! (Otherwise one or two of our members would have nothing to troll complain about .)

It being understood that everything can be improved, it is a good idea to inform yourself about what you are purchasing. For convenience, I also use the Suunto app for mac os. So there are alternatives.

If I understand correctly the ramp rate is the gain/loss of ctl over time (42 days?). I noticed that the watch sometimes shows a gain exactly the same as my CTL. Today my watch shows a CTL of 33 and a ramp rate of +33. Is this a bug or is my understaning of ramp rate wrong?

@treizeXiii said in Komoot : one way syncing: @Mff73 I selected “share with” on the gpx file created with komoot, and chose Suunto App (ios) to “share” it, and it imported it in Suunto app. But once loaded on the watch, I had no turn by turn notification. (I did’t use any thrid party to import/create, other than Komoot and Suunto app). i may think that Komoot is also not exporting (via gpx file export) their turn-by-turn information. I downloaded one file from my small unlocked region and the gpx file doesn’t contain any wpt entries. Probably, as @isazi wrote, it is a business decision on their side to share with partners turnbyturn through 2 ways sync, but not to export tbt outside the app/web for any other usage. Just my guess

@robis said in Suunto support delays/response times tracking.: @Luis-Andés-Olmedo said in Suunto support delays/response times tracking.: A chance to get a watch from Suunto? how? where do you ask for that? If I am not mistaken, I had read on the forum that they could ship a replacement watch (by paying a deposit, of course). Try contacting support and ask for confirmation Thank you. I’ve taken an alternative solution: just ordered a Garmin Epix on Amazon.de at a very good price (450€). When I have my race back I will decide what to do…

@robis yes. I know my exactly point of altitude, calibration done. Race shows 1022 hPa National meteorological institute for current location 1026. Once more it’s not a big deal, just curious.

@Olaf-Gottschalk Hmm - I am pretty close to your use level (24/7 an d10-15 hours a week recording. With an earlier device I would have issues near specific locations - not so much GPS issues, but total connectivity - I think folks in those areas had cell phone/RF blockers (illegal, but it was an interesting part of LA) and sometimes those are around LE or Mil installations. Do you issues crop up around the same geog area? just a WAG from my own experiences.

There have been loads of good suggestions for improving structured workouts in this forum including: giving the next stage info and a 5 second countdown rather than changing step without warning giving feedback when you are outside of a step target such as hr or pace (like you get with normal targets) the option to see the details of a workout before selecting it the option to see the next step before it activates This suggestion is another really good one and I hope the developers are seeing this feedback. All credit to them though, Suunto’s implementation for structured workouts is actually very good internally. Having read the info on what you can do with structured workouts they are really flexible. You can control the data fields shown per-step (including the ordering), you can conditionally skip steps or repeat steps and you can trigger the progress to the next step based on a number of criteria. It would be great if more of this was exposed in the workout builder and used by third-parties - and the option to start with a third-party workout and then modify it would be very cool. One thing that might help specifically with knowing which interval you are on could be to add the lap count field to one of the other data screens. I know it will count the recovery steps as well but at least it will give you some indication.

@logger if a watch crashes as often as you describe it, there may be some fault in the hardware. I think contacting support is your best course of actions.
