@Stavrogin they are not exactly equal because HR zones can only be set on the watch, making your imported activities happen in completely different zones. For Garmin RunGap has a “fake Garmin device” option that works really well

@Lukáš-Blažek I also doesn’t see any difference on latest firmware. Also, I’ll appreciate the less than lower brightness setting. Even in the direct sun, the display shine too much IMHO and we can save a bit battery life. Same at home, seems that the regulation of brightness doesn’t work good.

I have some how the same similar results. What I have observe additional are the folowing: if in the period of 24, if you take a nap, then after some hours you take a full 7-8 hours of slepp, for that day, the sum of the slept hour’s are no longer summed. Basically the watch does show only the first nap, or unclear/incorect slepp hours. Some time, you can see them both, but the slepp, or consecutive nap’s are incorect couted as no. of hours.

@elbee said in Oura vs Race HRV - any experiences?: @hgavert said in Oura vs Race HRV - any experiences?: Hi! My Oura is dead. It has been really good in measuring the HRV How do you know hrv on the oura is very good? Do you have a comparison with something proven to be accurate? I recently ditched my forerunner 965 and bought a Suunto race s. The hrv between the 2 are different. The garmin produces way higher values than the race s. I would say, for my age, the race s produces vales that are expected, but unless I use some scientific/medical equipment there isn’t a way to say which device (garmin vs suunto in my case) is more accurate. For me, hrv is mostly as expected, lower the morning after an high intensity interval training or race, higher after a rest day. No suprises there. In 15 years use of sport watches I learned quite a lot is marketing bs. I got the Oura 2 maybe 5 years ago. The values that it gives - or trend if you like - correlate very well will training load and feeling. You can for example do a “meditation session” right after hard training and see how low the HRV is. (That basically means, to have a 15min nap doing breathing exercises.) Also, the nightly HRV is fully correlating with recovery. It just makes sense. Unlike the first beat algorithm used in Suunto resources - that really doesn’t correlate that well. Also, I do remember finding a study made in some university comparing Oura to clinical level gold standard (obviously don’t remember which device that was). Oura was pretty much right on. That was back then, 5 years ago. Can’t find it from Google now.

I sent my watch back to Amazon to get a new one and I had exactly the same problem! And just in case, I haven’t updated the firmware. So the problem isn’t hardware. On the other hand, I tried using my company’s wifi network (fibre optic) and it worked !!! But at home it doesn’t work with any of my 2 separate wifi networks! I think there’s a problem in the watch on the software side to manage long downloads on certain wifi networks, something that makes the watch think that the network is no longer available even though it’s functional. That’s it for me, I’ll be loading my cards at the office…

@TitaniumDave said in Digital crown scrolling: Ok, so, the firmware revert -> factory reset -> firmware update to current -> factory reset seems to have fixed a coupe of issues. The digital crown is scrolling a bit better but it’s still not right, but the whole watch seems snappier. I gently ran some warm water over the crown for a few seconds and that definitely helped so I’ll start doing that daily until it’s right. I don’t want to do too much at once though, I am afraid of water entering the watch. If you continue to have these issues it may be a hardware problem…send the watch in for repair.

@moponen88 said in Steps and activity won't reset: I have switched off the watch for the nights but should I do that? I read that it might mess up the day change and it does not understand to reset so you know what’s the cause. just try not turn it off I’m locking this one to avoid duplicates

For me it’s biggest improv of last updates. I calibrated my compass let’s say like month ago, and it’s like 95% perfect accurate. I don’t know how often do You turn Your watch off. Auto compass finally working as should be at watch release.

I’m quite a fan of the Polar version, but I would buy a Suunto version immediately.

@BrunoH Sometimes just reinstalling of the SA helps. But first try to clean the cache of SA.

@GPaddle I lost connection to the phone / SA. I tried to reconnect and Suunto App found my Vertical, but still the connect button was grayed out. Phone restart fixed the problem. Might be related to my OnePlus getting a new Android version…

@2b2bff This flip-flopping has been the case since Race S was introduced. Works on S, breaks on Race. Different hardware I suspect and the development team doesn’t have a good enough test harness for quality releases. EDIT: Downgrading to 2.37.48 tracks a whole nights sleep again.
