What are the chances that proper Bluetooth accessory management is added to the Race?
-
Hi there!
Coming over to Suunto just recently one major concern and annoyance I face is the limitation for one BT sensor per kind.
I have an indoor trainer and power pedals. That makes it already two power sensors.
My current workflow is to Always re-connect the needed sensor prior to the session, then set the correct config like crank length each time I switch from indoor to outdoor.
DC Rainmaker has already stated that in his review of the Race and added that he hopes Suunto will quickly overcome this limitation.
I ask myself: is this a thing likely to happen soon rather than never?
It should be fairly easy for the current Chipsets to support multiple sensors. It’s just a matter of implementing this in the UI.
The way it is today is really a big downer.
What are your thoughts on this?

@Olaf-Gottschalk I know this has been asked over and over since some years.
I am sure there is priority added on this but I cannot say its 3 months or 6.

@Olaf-Gottschalk
My first thinking is that i agree with you, and that it already has been requested, here is the most voted post

@Mff73 …from 2018??? That is 5 years ago and nothing was done here? Cry

@Olaf-Gottschalk
no comment
but it was also spread many times in lots of posts.
But, while now @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos answered that it might come sooner or later, i would think that it will be soon (with the scale of the initial request of 2018 ). -
@Olaf-Gottschalk you might understand that a low priority issue stays low priority as long as other topics are coming in with higher priority.
It is not a list that is just being worked on from top to bottom.
And you might understand as well, that your personal priorities might differ from the ones of 80% of Suunto’s user base. -
BT accessory management, or at least a way to pair multiple devices and select among them would be very helpful. I think it is even more helpful with the unreliable (for me) built-in heart rate.
Right now I am re-pairing one of my HRM straps whenever I need to switch between them. If I had power meter pedals (not currently), and a smart trainer (yes), I’d want to do the same.
Edit: Note that I have a vertical, so obviously would like to see the feature added to that watch.

Yes it seems so… Hey but look at the Problem on the Vertical AND Race with incorrect Synchronisation from the TSB, CTL, ATL values since the RACE Release in October. When i count correctly then i hope a update to change the values will come in 2028 be realistic, look deeper in this Forum and you will got a answer for you Problems, Like “this question is there since many years without changing”. And If you read between the textlines you will know what exactly the major Problem is.
