@Shrek3k said in Does the Suunto Vertical need a Cardio strap?: @Tami999 I am with @Brad_Olwin … OHR works excellent for me with all activities for the last years, be it running, hiking, cycling, Nordic walking, swimming, etc. But that does not seem to be the case for everyone. And although it works perfectly for me: I like ZoneSense, and that means using a belt. Recommendation: try it - and never underestimate how important the right position of the watch and tightness of the watch-strap is. [image: 1754732357099-1000000384.jpg] That’s photo I found from march from very light jogging on theeadmill when I started adventure with running and prepare it for more intense. Anyway I think also software put his 5 cents because I think at the beginning 2 years ago my Vertical that I used worked very good during activities like cycling and noticed these drops after some time (could be after update). I also remember I could take off watch without pause activity, see it’s losing contact with my skin, put it on hand again see 40 HR back than after 5 mins of running - Boom! back to 140+ without doing anything . I always got watch on the same spot above wrist bone, with same tight. I tested different straps, spot on hand or just loose/tight strap Now I running with belt and it keeping 170-180 almost all the time without any drops.

Hello, I tested the issue of my watch not automatically syncing the weather, which I previously wrote about in the forum. I kept the watch active for 16 hours. I prevented it from going to sleep. I didn’t manually sync with the Suunto app. Both my phone and watch were connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and I received notifications. Today, after 16 hours, I noticed that it wasn’t receiving the weather on the home screen (picture 1). When I checked it on the watch, it said to sync (picture 2). I opened the Suunto app to check the situation. I left the watch in the menu so I could see the screen to prevent syncing. It also said “No sync for 16 hours” (picture 3). So, I think the watch isn’t automatically syncing the weather at night. Or maybe I’ve missed something. @pcosm I find 10% per day way too much - with 24/7 HR, notifications, sleep on and 12+ hours of GPS per week I have long-time average around 6,5%/d.

@Brad_Olwin Hello, I actually know that. I think the problem is that the watch goes into deep sleep. It’s been over 12 hours since then. Something even more interesting happened last night. I put the watch on charge. In the morning, it was at 99%. Even though it went to sleep, it wasn’t at 100%.

@Sulli-Nav afaik Suunto is flexible where to produce the watches. Most will be made in their China factory, while it is still possible to produce in Finland. You will get the same high quality and individually tested device where ever the factory is located in the world.

@Egika Thanks. Yeah, I didn’t think it was. Familiar with manual scrolling both forward and back, but just makes sense to have auto scroll without having to do that for when using poles or on a bike. Hopefully gets added at some point.

@benille You’d have to find the older firmware version. You could try to ask for a link and instructions in https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6836/firmware-collection

@maszop so can a shortcut be added to the right side of the watch’s home screen? (we can add widgets to the left side)
