Good catch. I’m not sure if anyone of power is tracking these, but I’ve been trying to post small UI bugs in the SW update topic here: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/9732/software-release-2-30-26/190?_=1700569982085 Can’t hurt to point them out, I guess. Perhaps they’ll be addressed if we get a hotfix for some of the “real” bugs.

@westie Same here… I have just checked my SV, there’s literally no scratch on the sensor. I guess I am not training enough

@Brad_Olwin Of course, a lot of what you say is correct. And thank you again for your commitment. However, it is also the case that Suunto does not have good communication. I know this much better from Coros, for example. Take a look at the comments on FB, Insta… sometimes the exact same errors are posted there and the users are annoyed… I also know that people are more likely to share bad experiences than good ones. We’re not talking about hardware problems like bubbles on the HRM sensor or something similar. These are actually isolated cases… We’re talking about software bugs… and in the case of software or memory problems, a bug fix after 6 months isn’t exactly a good service. Of course, developers and programmers need usable data. Maybe the key or the solution lies here… where you can report problems more easily. I think the forum here is great and I’m grateful for all the tips you get here. However, this forum is probably unknown to the masses and the users are here because they are looking for help. So the user is looking for help and can only get it here With Coros, for example, you can upload videos about your problem via Facebook Messenger. There was feedback and the most important thing was an update or bug fix every 1 to 2 months. There is no transparent feedback from Suunto itself “we are working on it” it is known” So no offense… in my case I have now done a factory reset and completely new furnished. I hope this makes my problem a thing of the past…

@Dirk483 said in Map check?: I can not think of a testroutine how to check whether the map of a different region will show while still at home. Any suggestions? maybe like a “fake GPS” debug mode, to be able to “explore” other area on watch

There’s a cloud of mystery around the algorithms. Suunto is not telling anything except this clause in their online documentation that VO2max estimate will appear after any run or walk longer that 15 mins. Later on when you do more exercises the number should get more accurate. Previously they were using FirstBeat algorithm and it was a known fact that hiking or trekking was not optimal for the calculation, the result would be more reliable on flat terrain. Many people were criticising why VO2maz was enabled for trekking at all. Now that we got the update we know even less. I am not aware if it is available for trekking at all. My own experiences are just awful. Before this week’s update I had a crash and my watch lost completely VO2max estimate. Now it is not appearing anymore no matter what I do. I’ve done flat terrain runs and forest walks, long ones and short ones and VO2max just fails to appear. I am planning on doing a factory reset next.

@Rob33 Since this has been extensively discussed here, I am going to close this thread to avoid restarting the entire conversation. https://forum.suunto.com/topic/9504/the-race-is-nice-but-i-m-still-holding-on-to-my-vertical/5

@Brad_Olwin said in GPS Lock and Drift: @stromdiddily said in GPS Lock and Drift: @Brad_Olwin That’s what has me thinking there might be something up with mine. Folks are raving about the accuracy and if this was a common occurrence, someone else would have brought it up (5k, dc, etc) I agree and would wait for the firmware update coming this fall. That will give you a good reboot as well. If this continues I would definitely contact support. I will look back through my files but I cannot remember an issue like this with my Vertical using either production firmware or newer FT firmware. New firmware and after a factory reset for my battery drainage problem. Second run after all that and first at this location so basically the same symptoms as before w offset tracks I sent my logs to Suunto today. Not sure if I have a problem but with my experience I certainly would not describe the GPS accuracy as groundbreaking or phenomenal [image: 1700258294048-f61a5e3f-d159-4190-83a1-14647fd34075-image.png]

hmm… Any other having issue with “raise to wake”? Backlight seems to stay on like 1 second if it even works (tried restart already). Otherwise quite happy with update,

@pavel-samokha F6x Pro comes in 3 glass variants - gorilla DX, sapphire, or garmins power glass (combo of gorilla and solar); there may have been different country/later variants with power sapphire (sapphire and solar combo). They all have varying degrees of visibility but generally in sunlight there isn’t an issue with any of them.

When I started to use the watch the only thing that worked for me to clear the notifications (all) was to turn off and on the watch. Since then I have disabled notifications.

@babychai said in Vertical compass settings: @bikedocben In the activity setting, select Theme then select Dark or Light mode. Dark is black background and Light is white background. This changes will reflect in the widget compass as well. Genius! Well I had to find the sport mode where I last used the compass in light mode and change that to dark and that fixed it. Changing other sport mode themes didn’t change the compass setting. Weird but all good now

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen said in Heart rate weird: @bikedocben Since the max. heart rate is listed as 156 but the graph clearly shows a HR of close to 200 then it looks like there is some Suunto App display issue or then the reported HR from the Vertical somehow got corrupted on its way to the app. On the Race you can also see the HR graph on the watch itself. Can you see the HR graph on the Vertical itself for that activity and does it look similar to the graph in the Suunto App or is it more similar to what you observed on your watch during the activity? Maybe that can give some to what went wrong. Heart rate graph on watch is the same as is on the app.
