yes, swim style detection is bad and yes, it is a common issue. You can’t do much about it.
2./3.: It seems that the watch is sometimes detecting extra lanes for you. This can happen if you stop mid-lane, or change pace significantly mid-lane like if you briefly stop because of traffic etc.
For me with free lanes and constant speed this is working super well.

Only the suunto 3 can count steps accurately, all other watches from suunto are not able to do this and track two to three times the actual steps. It’s just sad and can’t be mentioned often enough. 😠

@Francesco-Pagano It’s rare but may happen. I had an increase in HRV by 20 to 30 for 4 or 5 weeks and then back to normal. I also tend to have large amplitude sometimes - around 20 or 30 night to night, but usually it’s in a similar range for a week or two.

@firen there is no analogue of Garmin’s pb bells and whistles. Anyway, in the app you can see fastest, longest, furthest run labels under corresponding activities

@mariam Not possible for VO2 and probably would not work well with other measurements. There is no place to add MET. The watch gives me lower estimates than lab tests as well. It is difficult for watches to accurately measure VO2Max.

@SXCohen Got an official answer from Suunto; just in case someone else’s interested here it is :

"I am sorry to inform you that the Freediving mode and Mermaid features are not currently available in the Suunto app, but they are accessible on the watch itself. Additionally, I want to let you know that you can view the depth data while diving by selecting the specific mode on the watch interface. "

I’d like to push to get an update on the App (and if necesssary on the watch’s firmware) so that becomes possible.

@marcos Did you use it starting an exercise or just as a display on the watch?
If you start an exercise the altimeter will calibrate itself during the first 10 minutes or so.
Without starting an exercise you have to calibrate it manually - that would be normal behaviour

@JanJ1968 I am having syncing problems on production firmware as well. I reported this issue some time ago and it was supposedly fixed in the last update. However, I still have syncing issues with production firmware. I added more information to the bug report so we will see what happens. I do not think this is affecting very many individuals so it may be difficult to track down. I will keep you posted.
