Ascent Correction
-
Last friday I did a skimo trip to switzerland. It was the first time I recognised that the overall ascent was wrong (2200m instead of 1900m). The elevation of start and end were correct, also the three summits had the correct elevation. Is there a way to adjust something within the watch/app to prevent wrong measurements in the future?

@marcrie Things you can do is to synchronise your watch (to get the latest GPS data) and keep the highest accuracy (shorter battery duration) before to start an activity. Wrong ascent/descent values are often caused by noise in the recorded altitudes (poor coverage, wind…) at the moment the only way to correct that is to export the gpx track and filter the altitude data with a third party app.

@Stefano-M64 thank you for the tips. It was the first time I recognised these behaviour. To sync app and watch before the workout is a good idea.
