@isazi said in Lap ave bug during interval setting: @derrick-spafford use interval average pace. Thank you. That makes sense now. Will make the change.

@wotus After several unsuccsessful tries I found a workaround forcing the watch to measure and record the temperature in openwater swimming (basic and custom exercise), with which all other exercises have no problem. The only way I found is to activate S+ Weather - Insights before the start. But even then, the realtime temperatur data field shows no value “–”. Only if I switch the display to the Weather screen and then back to my first view, the real temperatur value will be shown and appears then in the logbook and in SA. Can someone confirm this strange behaviour of missing temperatur in openwater swimming which didn’t happen before the last firmware update?

@isazi I contacted Suunto support but I only received the meaningless answer that this might be an error and it has never happened before for anyone else So the usual unhelpful stuff you get from service…

@jmoneygrip I agree. I also found that the OHR is fairly accurate during activity. It is reasonably close ( at least during trail runs) to what I record on my chest HR monitor. I am satisfied from that standpoint. What annoys me are all the huge spikes in HR readings at rest and during the night. I do not probably meet the characteristics of the perfect target customer for the S9P; hence, I may care about wellness data from the watch ( and HR reading outside an activity or training) more than the average customer. However I still think this is an issue as these readings may affect sleeping scores and other metrics.

@stas-varazhbit said in Suunto 9 Peak heart rate plateau: My maximum heart rate after a running test is 208, so 210 is no surprise to me. 205 for me on FTP test, but some years ago I got 200 + (check here, with ambit 2 and suunto hr belt new at the time)

I had rain interact with my SSU touchscreen in earlier FW versions so I’m also glad it’s not always on.

@rudi-ratlos for which activities the HR sensor is bad? I find it great. Do you wear the watch properly?

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos it makes totally sense , except I am pretty sure to have several times a difference superior to 2 meters like 3, 4 and maybe 5 meters.

@patrick-löffler Your point is well taken! I agree that a little bit more “wellness” data would be ideal -especially for those who are wearing the watch 24/7. Adding to your list, it would be nice to have data on sleep stages over the course of the night (REM, light, deep) and how they were distributed (S7 seems to have such a feature). Last, this might be marginally off-topic, I am wondering whether it would be technically possible to add an “assistance alert” feature. I see that SuuntoPlus has a “Safe” page; however, there is no way of triggering (from the watch) a pre-determined message (through the phone) asking for help at the coordinates displayed in the Safe Page. I have a similar function on a Garmin device and it is a peace of mind. I can see several situations in which one may be in need of help and either unable to reach his/her phone or unable to copy the coordinate; the feature might be useful (of course assuming phone and watch are connected and that your phone has coverage).

@herlas You are right. I tried the S9P again on the stationary bike. For me it depends a lot where the watch sits on my wrist. Further away from the joint leads to much better results! And back to the original thread title. Garmin cannot track V2O Max on tread mill runs. So for me another reason for Suunto.
