Touch only activ after hitting a button
-
I git my new Suunto 9 Peak.
Great watch.
But since it has a touch screen an some functions like display date or altitude or battery status needs tapping the touch screen, how come I first need to click a button before the touch is enabled? That does not make sense to me. Clicking a button does not only wake up the watch but also jumps right away in the corresponding menu.
I do have backlight on adaptive and do not disturb is off. Is there a way to have the touch screen always enabled?
Thanks for any hint.Daniel

@dnonnweiler The touch screen goes off to prevent inadvertent changes and to preserve battery. It is not possible to have it always on so you will need a button press to activate the touch screen in watch mode.

@dnonnweiler I think it makes sense to lock the screen so that we don’t see it randomly show a different screen due to touches we were not aware of.
Anyway I just checked my S9P and a click on the center button turns on the touchscreen nicely without “jumping the menu” up or down.

I had rain interact with my SSU touchscreen in earlier FW versions so I’m also glad it’s not always on.
