@brad_olwin yeah exactly the same. I had a bad experience first time I had setted up the intervals on my M400. I had warmup set to 5m according to my coach. Well 5m where not enough to reach the place I could actually perform. Unfortunately in Polars you cannot reset the intervals or re-setem up. That ruined my training.

@ianshowalter said in SSWHR + belt -> heart rate wrong: I just saw this thread now and want to second the “clean the living daylights outta that thing” posts on here. I had a lot of problems with dodgy HR data from the Suunto HR belt and took the suggestions here: http://www.natharward.com/heart-rate-monitor-not-working/ and took them up a notch a few weeks ago. Since then I’ve had zero problems anymore. I pop out the sensor and swab the metal posts of the sensor and the spots on the HR strap where it snaps into with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol after every single time I use it. It only takes a few seconds. When I wet the belt before putting it on, I also squirt a drop of dish detergent on each electrode and scrub them good with my fingertip, then rinse them out. That only adds an extra couple seconds to wetting the strap, too. Maybe it’s excessive, but I’ve abruptly gone from cursing that thing to no problems at all ever since I started doing that. Keep those ports, connectors and electrodes clean every time. One other thing I do (I don’t know if it makes a difference or not). When I’m on the start exercise screen on my watch and it turns the heart icon green and starts displaying numbers, I give it 10 or so seconds before actually pressing start. I still use my 2016 belt due to the above article.

@darren_m said in Can the Spartan Sport WHRB be switched off?: Ok thanks, I thought not. I’m wondering if the watch becomes just a watch after the becoming idle for so long. You could achieve this by stopping all measurement functions (Heart Rate etc) after the accelerometer becomes idle for a set period, which suggests that the watch isn’t being worn because it hasn’t detected any movement, maybe! To have background information like this would be interesting. Yes that is what happens. Only take care that it can sesnse eg small vibrations eg when you also out a glass on the same table.

@yannis-belouris I’ve seen many times while sitting in the office, normal behaviour, once watch detects movement watchface is engaged.

Best guess for next FW is mid to late April. Major updates has been as part of a new watch. Maybe we will see the FW together with Suunto 3 Fitness…

I asked support about that: We do not have the function to set the alarm to only vibrate. However, we will submit your brilliant idea to our technical team as a feature suggestion for our product. @solid_dd where did you read they were testing it? (And can I have a beta OS?)
