@JonasLarsson Nope, I’ve only used the belt with this Peak 9 The workout starting screen doesn’t even show the icon for belt when this happens, just a blinking grey heart icon. I’ve triple checked that I have wrist HR disabled and HR belt enabled for the exercise to no avail. If I go to watch settings, remove HR belt and pair it again then it works as expected and the pre-workout screen has HR belt icon flashing. But then again when starting the next exercise of same type it doesn’t detect anything.

@Roadwarrior I am also having this same issue. Thought it may be a firmware update issue, but the latest update has come and gone and I still can’t see HR history. Hopefully someone can shine a light for us.

@b1kka Hi, I’ve been struggling with a battery issue for at least 6 months, since the last software update. I think I found the problem and a solution. Suunto support has been clueless and just says to send it in for repair. When I put my watch on charge, when the watch thinks it’s at 100% it stops charging. Then I shutdown the watch and turn it back on. Then it will charge more. Keep doing that until it’s close to 100%. My watch used to die in a single day just wearing it normally. Now it lasts a week with FC on and all the normal features. I believe the battery life calibration goes out of whack if the software updates happen when the watch is not 100% and plugged in. And unfortunately Suunto support doesn’t know how to help us.

@guy-s I have recently upgraded from Spartan Ultra to the Peak Pro Titanium. I wear the watch every day and I have noticed that my steps have reduced about 20% just by changing watches. For example, today I did a 10.2 km suburban walk and only recorded 8,971 steps during the walk. I am a rogainer and I know my actual is about 1,200 steps per km. I had nothing in my watch hand. I am very happy with the Peak Pro Titanium, but I am disappointed that my step counts have been hammered by a watch change.

@cosme-costa said in Suunto 9 Peak GPS problems: This AGPS file is a daily file but you can have good GPS locks with it being 2 to 3 days old. This is the important bit: you don’t have to sync watch and app every day and before every training – every third day (or every evening when you want to look at your metrics like CTL etc.) is sufficient.

@Alex-Gascón the watch you have has very little memory, so you may need to make some space by removing guides that you do not use, to load the ones you want to use.

big +1 from me too, and with satellite communication now available in the newer iPhones, the limitations seem to be disappearing

Is anyone at Suunto debugging this issue? I think this is a reason to get a refund if such basic feature does not work properly or either in the user manual there needs to be a notificaton that the alarm may not work as expected. Currently, there is a clear flaw in the software.

@taziden Ah, thats why - thank you! By the way: I found a free TP Plan from Suunto here https://www.suunto.com/de-at/sports/News-Articles-container-page/follow-this-mountain-race-training-program/ and it shows nicely as daily Suunto Guides as expected

@DMytro but why some people got it doing just a first run? As far as it is more than 15’ for some people works and others like me nothing.

@Egika Thanks! This can be a very reasonable explanation. The only thing is that this has happened before (the battery to be empty for several days - weeks) and then recharged (started charing immediately) without any issues and delays. But nicely it is working properly now! Yiannis.

@zucchero said in Open water swimming mode customization – swim distance always zero and no temperature: @isazi Issue solved. See above. User error. When I start an activity like my swim without a GPS signal and, if the watch gets a GPS signal a few minutes later, does it then track the distance? It should do so

@vavvi I think it’s mentioned elsewhere: disabling media controls in the last-edited sport mode can override the Control Panel and stick until re-enabled in a sports mode. (Similar to the BT/wifi/Airplane Mode issue.) Works that way on my Vertical: perhaps try on your watch?
